This one just isn't very good. I didn't read the book so i can't compare, but it doesn't matter as the movie itself is terrible. So much of it is ludicrous, and I kept thinking that it may have been better to read and just imagine the action, as opposed to how it is shown in the film. I understand suspended disbelief is a key part of movie watching, particularly the bigger Hollywood type films, but I just found this one ridiculous. Not sure if it was the role, or the performance, but Felicity Jones was very flat in this, not engaging at all. Tom Hanks was just waited, certainly one of his weaker performances. Just skip this one.
I finally got around to watching this horror classic which was the first Hammer films Dracula telling with Christopher Lee as Dracula. It goes back to Stoker's story minus a couple of the elements such as Renfield and changing to bats. Lee is great in this and I though the production value was pretty decent, and the print looked great. Peter Cushing was great as Van Helsing and it was fun to see Michael Gough(Tim Burton's "Alfred") as a young actor. A must watch for horror fans!
Loved this classic comedy from 1936 starring William Powell, Spencer Tracy, Myrna Loy and Jean Harlow. Just a joy to watch and Powell has become one of my favourite classic stars. Anyone that likes classic films should seek this out. Highly recommended!
This is a fascinating and disturbing short film from Denis Villeneuve that showed his talent early on. Worth watching for fans.
This is an okay Woody Allen film. It's nothing special, but I was never bored. I love Steve Carrell so that helped and Jesse Eisenberg is a decent Woody fill in. I also love the old Hollywood aspect to it. One of Woody's middling efforts, but worth a watch.
