Manny's Review of Fast & Furious 6
Fast & Furious 6(2013)
Fast and Furious 6 (yes, that's a 6) isn't cinema at its finest, its cinema at its most unabashed trashiest, and that's what makes it such fun. To think over ten years ago I saw the first Fast and Furious and marveled at what a crapfest it was. It wasn't until 2011's Fast Five that the long-running franchise finally got a jolt of energy. The latest one continuues that high energy, replete with fast cars, trucks, tanks and airlane carriers. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson don't exactly act (more like they're aimed speak in blurbs) but they don't have to. Best of all is the dynamite Michelle Rodriguez, back from the dead after supposedly dying. It's pure pop trash, and isn't pretentious enough to think its anything more. That's what makes for a good time at the movies in summer.
