Grand Prix at Cannes 2007. Plenty of scenes of large open spaces and fields that look like squeezed cream on cakes. Beautiful cinematography of forests and fields but it was a tad too draggy. An alternative take on grief and loss.
Seems to be a little drag with what it is trying to explore. The whole setting has been switched to Thailand but it definitely lacks something which the landscape in Japan could offer. Not exactly exotic and rather stale.
A different movie about death and memories. Great play with lighting and great examination of the two topics.
Delightful film about this interesting family. Surrealistic definitely. Love how tea is introduced in a very subtle manner.
A movie about finding answers to life at that age. Entertaining and engaging at some point but fizzles towards the end.
