I have yet to find a PIXAR movie that I don't love! This is of course no exception, providing a good storyline and a big range of emotion throughout. The beginning of the movie is so sad... and so believable in today's world that seeks to leave older generations in the dust. I'm not sure what else I can say other than that I would be happy to see this movie many more times... at least to fill my sense of adventure!
I found this film quite funny and enjoyable... especially because it has DANNY DEVITO!! (lol). I liked it, and can;t see why all the reviews are so terribly bad. Yes, it is a modern romantic comedy, so it has to be a bit formulaic, and I will give the critics that, but it isn't that bad. Of course I did have a problem with someone having a destination wedding in the exact same location as a sibling... creepy!
OMG!! It's such a Cinderella story! (lol). I guess I like Jennifer Lopez in movies... who knew? I will say that the plot sucks during the second half, and there is no conceivable reason for this love story to actually happen, but I like movies set in hotels where the maids get even with the snooty guests I suppose.
This is almost exactly what I expected for an SNL movie of this 'caliber.' I thought it would be... 'supider,' actually. Not bad but not too good either, and just somewhat below average for SNL-inspired movies in recent years.
Okay... how could I not say that I liked this film? It's pretty hard to criticize a very accurate portrayal of one man's real struggle in the wilderness. The emotion and cynicism are very real in this movie, and James Franco does a fantastic job of portraying the real live person behind the story. I will be honest that I only saw about 97% of the film... due to the fact that I couldn't watch the points where he was breaking his forearm, and when he was pulling his arm free, but the other parts were fine. However, not much replay value if everyone's already seen it.
