Compared to any other After Dark film I saw this year, this was definitely the best of the pile but that might not be saying much. At times it was entertaining and at times it dragged and had a few too many moments where you just couldn't possibly relate to what the characters were doing. Stopping when they should have been going. Hiding when they should have been running. Entering places they just never would have entered in any realistic situation. Those moments are frustrating and tend to take me out of a film. Still, for a lower budget horror, the action and gore were decent and the acting was better than most.
Mike L falseIf you like the first three then you'll definitely like this one too. After a slow start once the film finally leaves the never ending wedding you get the same old tricks that keep the series moving. Jake and Edward at each other, relentlessly with jealousy. Bella vulnerable and desperate to become a vamp. Typical Twilight. This one had a bit more of a serious tone to it which was nice. And the ending was definitely a cliff hanger. They made sure that anyone who went to see this one would HAVE to go and see the next because there really is no ending. I would suspect that once part 2 comes along it'll feel much more complete and it'll be a relief not to spend the hour this one did merely establishing that Bella and Edward were in love, as we've sat painstakingly through for the past three installments. The last one should be good.
Mike L falseOne of THE single, worst movies I have ever seen in my life. I've never been so bored and confused as to why a film was made or how in the world they got a decent cast for such a disaster on film...
Mike L falseI liked the idea and it could have been done differently and much better.
