The House With Laughing Windows (La casa dalle finestre che ridono)
10 months ago via Flixster
½

I certainly would not rank this among the greatest Horror films of all time. Not even close. However, The House With Laughing Windows is still a very good Italian horror/mystery. It takes a bit to get started, but the last 30 minutes are terrific. I was left wondering up until the very last minute, and I like when movies do that. There was some poor acting in parts and it got boring. But some creepy scenes, a good twist, and a great ending all made up for it. This is worth a watch if you like 70s Horror.

Eyes Without a Face

Eyes Without A Face: one of the creepiest, most depressing, most beautiful, best horror movies of all time. It's completely underrated. Every shot is beautiful. The mask is so creepy and eerie, it's very hard for me to forget about it. And there's actually one really good, gory scene. The ending is still a favorite scene of mine.

The Blind Side is good. Far from great. It is certainly a crowd pleaser since I still have not found a single person who did not like this movie. However I did not like it nearly as much as every one else did. To me, the unnecessary subplots and predictable storyline overshadowed the one truly great thing about the movie- Sandra Bullock's amazing lead performance. She was excellent, but not worthy of the Oscar, especially over Meryl Streep. This will always be a movie that will be remembered.

The Lovely Bones

What is with all these negative comments? The Lovely Bones is one of the best movies I have seen this year. Let's start acting. Perfect creeper performance by Tucci, wonderful lead by Ronan, and great supporting by Wahlberg, Weisz, and Sarandon. This is such an emotional ride from beginning to end. I loved every second. Once Susie reached the in-between I was in complete awe over the beauty of the film. Peter Jackson did a terrific job creating this whole new world. And I do have to mention that particularly suspenseful scene. Yes, you know which one I'm talking about. I was sweating and yelling at the screen. That doesn't happen very often. Please just to see this and see what you think. I loved it.

Going to be completely honest- when this movie was first in talks of being made I was so incredibly excited. Then I found out Rachel McAdams was going to star. This was my perfect movie. But then I saw the trailer and realized that it was more of a comedy than a mystery, so I think I was majorly disappointed. Robert Downey Jr. did a very good job in his Golden Globe winning (HA!) performance. Law and McAdams were also very good. This has great action sequences that will keep you entertained the entire time.
