An OK movie. Some interesting storytelling and good acting especially from James McAvoy that does 20 characters. A bit slow at times but at least it's mostly original as far as ideas go.
Ok with a few funny bits. Kind of a rehash of the Mel Gibson movie but with a gender swap. The lead actress does a really good job and that basically makes the movie watchable.
Actually, not too bad overall. A bit better than I expected. A few implausible plot points, but still entertaining.
Very cheesy and low budget. Quite disappointing.
Actually, a pretty decent movie. Quite creative and interesting take on the animatronic/puppetry kind of CGI. Also, it was kind of cool to find out it's based on a true story. The themes of hate crimes towards those who are different was also interestingly explored.
Not a bad story with a few good acting sequences. Jesse Eisenberg really plays the frenetic businessman/con man really well. Some interesting tech bits but also some emotional humanity too.
Strange quirky style and story of ambition, treachery and frailty. Emma Stone is fantastic as Abigail. Good character acting and beautiful design and costumes.
A nice period piece. Saoirse Ronan is fantastic as Mary Queen of Scots. It still amazes me how terrible humans were and still are. However, it still seems like the men were (and still mostly are) the worst of the lot. Mary was quite the strategist and sacrificed a lot for peace to unite England and Scotland.
An OK but kinda typical Stephan King horror movie. More of a teenage growing up summer time movie than anything else. Themes are about fighting one's fears by sticking together as a team and not trying to go it alone.
A somewhat interesting art piece style of movie especially by shooting the whole thing in black and white. It's a typical story of an average family in 1971 Mexico and the upper class having poor lower class servants and the contrasts between the two. Also portrays the men there as terrible family men and prone to violence and the women are the really strong ones of the household.
Nice ending to the saga. It was a long movie so I'm glad I waited until I could rent it to be able to pause it for a break. Sad to see Iron Man is gone. Quite a significant impact from Ant-Man which was a bit of a surprise. It's a shame Thor is not his usual self. I expected a bigger impact from Captain Marvel, but she did destroy the massive enemy space ship which was a huge moment in the final battle. Nice conclusion for Captain America.
A decent movie if a bit slow. An interesting story though and not how you might think it would go. Clint Eastwood is still pretty good.
An interesting and interesting story with some good acting from the lead actor James McAvoy. Helped set up the storyline for the movie Glass with the cameo appearance from Bruce Willis.
A pretty good typical Rocky boxing movie. Still mostly entertaining if not entirely predictable.
An OK true story. Melissa McCarthy is good as the lead character and the writing is good. The story is a bit slow but still watchable.
This was more of a Harry Potter style fantasy/magic movie than horror. A few fun elements and a nice feel good story but a little too simplistic for my liking. Similar to Goosebumps or the like. Jack Black and Cate Blanchette are good.
A good documentary style movie about so-called gay conversion therapy camps in mostly southern and mid-West USA. Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe are in this movie (which I didn't know when I started watching it) and give good performances. The lead actor is good too but I don't know him.
This was not at all what I was expecting. It turns out to be somewhat like an English version of Brokeback Mountain or a more raw and working class version of Call Me By Your Name. Hard to understand some of the words from the super thick rural English / Scottish accent from Johnny, but the Romanian immigrant actor was fantastic.
A decent crime and heist story with a few new twists. Good acting from Regina King and Liam Neeson.
A very touching and beautiful story that makes you cry. A story about compassion and love for animals and the greed of humans. Love wins in the end and a very happy story for all.
