Will's Review of The World's End
The World's End(2013)
While entertaining and pretty funny at times, this wasn't as consistently hilarious as either Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz. It felt like it rehashed the concepts from those movies more than it tried to do anything new or interesting. Which kind of leaves me feeling disappointed, because this is the last one in that spiritual series. Though the first 2 set the bar so high that there was really no way this could have topped those, so I enjoyed it for what it was. The interplay between Pegg and Frost is never boring to watch, and seeing Pierce Brosnan as one of the villains was a treat after Timothy Dalton played the villain in Hot Fuzz.
