The Cloverfield Paradox (2018)
After it's Surprising release and shock move to Netflix there was high hope for this film as let's face it J.J. Abrams and his team have put so much more effort than most people know into the Cloverfield Universe with websites, Videos, Profiles releasing all before the first film back in 2008, The film itself in set in 2028 but is a prequel to the first two, The story can get confusing but it does answer a few questions about the first two films but also leaves more questions unanswered, The effects were great and I did like the story but there's a few plot holes and allot of science talk that goes over everyones head, It felt very out of place in the Cloverfield universe until the end, There's going to be allot of theories about these films until we see them on screen, Like the second one it leaves the Cloverfield Universe open to go anywhere it wants what with different dimensions and also the fact that the particle accelerator used in this film ripped open time and space and changed things in the past, Present and future it's free to do as it pleases but I just hope they keep it more simple before it ends up being another X-Men Universe.

Daddy's Home 2 (2017)
Maybe not as good as the first but it had its moments, I know people hated the movie before even watching it due to them hating Mel Gibson because he doesn't share the same views as most Americans (Not everything is about you America) I found his old school tough guy act the best thing in this film, The comedy turned mostly slap stick but it was funny in places, It's very predictable and got cheesy at the end, Just like the first the age rating let it down as more crude humour would of worked so much better, If you've seen the first you know what to expect as it's nothing particularly new but for what it's worth its a fun-ish comedy, The kind we get about 20 times a year though.

Idiocracy (2006)
If you read the film title then that is the film in a nutshell, It's just pure stupid from start to finish, It did have the odd funny bit but not enough to be memorable or that good, It's not a terrible film it's just a bad film only 12 year olds or stoners would enjoy.

Batman: Gotham by Gaslight (2018)
One of them Batman comics I'm yet to read but I gave this a watch and enjoyed it more than I thought I would, The story was gripping and very different to what we're used to, It had some great action and the animation was good too, Maybe it's a little too dark for the younger kids but it's pretty good as far as animated films based on a comic.

The Karate Kid (1984)
Pretty good but cheesy in places, The fights were ok and it's acted well but it does have allot of scenes that were dragged out and can kill the whole tone of the film.

Drag Me to Hell (2009)
Very overrated, It had little horror and the jump scares came from a mile away, It had a few dodgy effects for its year but I did like the story but don't believe the hype when it says scariest film in years.

Jack Frost (1998)
The story isn't anything particularly new and it was predictable but the main problem with the story is that it's a Christmas film but there's very little comedy and it has quite an emotional and sad story and it's not what we really want to see at Christmas, It is acted well but it needed to be abit more light hearted.

Bright (2017)
This movie felt like End of Watch mixed with a modern day Lord of the Rings film, The story was nothing new and it was very predictable, It did have some good action scenes and the effects were pretty good, Will Smith was great as he always is and he provides 99% of the humour which goes down well in this film, It's not as bad as critics say but then again I don't look at the critics score I look at the audience score, If you're a fan of action, Fantasy or even buddy cop films with a twist then this is more than entertaining enough.

Toy Story of Terror! (2013)
Another fun short film from Toy Story, Fun little story, Some funny scenes and a great little film for the kids to watch at Halloween.

Toy Story That Time Forgot (2014)
Much better than Toy Story 3, Good and funny story, I would of preferred this as a feature length film that the third.

For a animation film about owls it was pretty good, Mostly down to Zack Snyders directing style, The voice cast wasn't nothing great and the story was very predictable but it had some fun action scenes done in classic Snyder slow motion style, I can't comment on the 3D as I watched the 2D version, The animation was amazing and really is the main reason to watch the film, The dark tone works well as there's very little humour which I found worked well, If you know Zack Snyder films you know what to expect so don't go into this expecting some shitty Disney song along because you will be disappointed.

Timecop (1994)
Van Dammes Time travel film is no Terminator but as far as Van Damme films go it's pretty good which isn't saying much, The action was ok but the story wasn't very well done and the effects are pretty bad, It's a shame Van Damme is an after thought when it comes to Action stars but he does his best even with a pretty poor script.

Ex Machina (2015)
A very unique and clever take on the AI story, All the way through the film there's sort of a unsettling feel of what is happening and that's mostly down to the fact that it's amazingly acted by all the cast, There's no action it's all story driven but we get that intrigued with what we are seeing it didn't need any, We never know how it will all play out in the end and it's more than enough to keep us entertained.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)
Not as good as the first but still very entertaining in places, The plot is basically the same, The villain is copy and paste of the first just a woman, All the cast were great and funny, I must admit it was hard for me to dislike the President of USA for his decision as I would of made the same call as him and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one, It did have some good action scenes but there was nothing greatly new to them, The long shot scene at the end was trying to copy the Church scene from the first but it couldn't match up to it, It can be a little too silly in places as they try to make things more bigger and better but it does what most sequels do now days and just copy and paste but make it bigger and we all know bigger isn't always better.

Jeepers Creepers 3 (2017)
I must admit I'm a fan of these films so I was quite excited to hear number 3 was coming out, Then I read it's set between 1 and 2 so it was hard to enjoy it as we all know the Creeper wasn't going to die, It felt cheap and the acting was pretty bad, It had a few ok gory bits but nothing new, The ending wasn't great as I was expecting a giant battle between the police and the Creeper but nope nothing of the sort and what happened at the end just made number 2 have a huge plot hole which wasn't well thought out, It's not terrible but it's the worst in the series.

Severance (2006)
So much better than it should of been, It's just your typical Slasher film but with dark British humour which makes the film even better, Danny Dyer was great and very funny, It is predictable from start to finish as we know who's going to die next, It's gory, Nothing new but it's fun.

Geostorm (2017)
Not a terrible film but certainly nothing great either, I'm a big Gerard Butler fan so I was always going to see this movie no matter what people or critics said and it's ok, I wish I could say more than that, This movie should of been great during its disaster scenes and let's face it the only reason 2012 was any good because of its amazing effects and I expected the same with this movie but in this they weren't very good for this day and age (2017) and with a $100,000,000 budget they should of been so much better, I can't comment on the 3D as I watched the 2D version but maybe it might of looked better in places with the 3D, The story was nothing new and it did get predictable at the end, It had it's fun moments but it's nothing we haven't seen before, It had a good idea that was poorly executed which seems to be a theme in Hollywood now days.

Lord of War (2005)
So much better than I expected, It's a very intelligent film that has a great story about the gun trade that was more emotional than I thought it would be, Nic Cage was brilliant and Jared Leto puts in a fine performance too, There's no action so don't watch if you're expecting a shoot em up film, Based on true events made this film more entertaining even though I'm not sure how accurate it is but if only half is true it's still shocking in places, A very underrated movie that should get more praise and be watched by more people as it may turn out to be a powerful story to some viewers.

Pretty good Prequel telling the rise of Pat Tate before the events of the first Rise of the Footsoldier, The story is your typical London gangsta plot, Lots of drugs, Sex and violence, I did enjoy the story and I like that yet again they got the original cast back involved, Craig Fairbrass was brilliant in this film as he fit back into the role as Pat Tate with ease, It's on par with the first and better than the second.

Logan Lucky (2017)
A fun a smart movie that felt like it should of been better but on the other hand I had no expectations for it so I enjoyed it, It maybe classed as a comedy but its very simple humour will not be enjoyed by everyone, All the cast were terrific and all had time to shine and it's really the main reason the film is as good as it is, The heist was fun and well done and had a twist at the end but it was pretty obvious if you have seen heist movies before, It won't be everyone's cup of tea but the simple and yet well thought out plot and a star studded cast are more than enough to enjoy this movie.
