The concept falls flat. It ends up meandering. The film tries so hard to be deep, it ends up looking quite shallow.
The overwrought dialogue got in the way from enjoying it for what it is - a feel-good romance, albeit involving unlikely leads by mainstream standards. But worthy of a watch, if only to see Lisa Ray and Sheetal Seth make out. The film touches briefly on issues of culture, class, migration, Israel/Palestine etc. but treads pretty shallowly in these areas.
