Dunkirk
Dunkirk (2017)

½

From its opening scene, Dunkirk fully immerses viewers in a sense of being trapped, focusing on the stress of the physical and psychological struggle that fear often elicits. No character is truly fully developed, which was a bit disappointing for me. Still, I give Dunkirk 3.5 Stars out of 5 Stars.

A Ghost Story
A Ghost Story (2017)

Powerful in its silence. Poetic, moving and somber in its moments of sound. A Ghost Story is a cinematic experience unlike any other. 5 out of 5 Stars.

War for the Planet of the Apes
9 days ago via Rotten Tomatoes

More thoughtful than I expected and far less action than the title suggests, but War for the Planet of the Apes may very well be the best film in the franchise's reboot. Its impressive visuals are matched by an equally impressive story. 4 out of 5 Stars.

The Big Sick
The Big Sick (2017)

The Big Sick connects & resonates emotionally on various levels and does so without force feeding sappiness to invoke feelings like many other romantic comedies tend to do. 5 out of 5 Stars.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

½

Spider-Man: Homecoming continues with the recent string of well-made, extremely fun comic book films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Homecoming is playful, highly entertaining and delivers the best version of our beloved web-slinger's origin story. 4.5 out of 5 Stars
