It Has The Typical Comparison Against Some Tarintino'esk Methods Of Film-Making, That Being Blunted & Unsubtle, Unstable Violence, A Classic Off-Kilter Soundtrack Matching The Equally Oddball Cast Of Characters, A Chopped Up & Out-Of-Order / Different Perspectives Storyline, A Few Red-Herring Villians & Of Course Some Solid One-Off, Dialogue Infused Selillique Performaces, Pouring Out Creepy Character Dynamics. It's Pretty Much A Different Flavour Of That Tarintino 'Pulp-Fiction' Ice-Cream, But Boy Does It Taste Pretty Damn Good. Won't Let You Down As Long As You're In The Right Frame Of Mind. I Can See How Though Some Viewers, Just Like With Other Similar Genred Gore-Infused Classic-Gangsta Films, Will Find This Tired & Something They Will Struggle Yo Stick With.
Liked The Focus On The Female Point Of View, Being Married To Men Taking On Adventure At It's Most Extreme Level. How All Individual Astronauts Manage This Stress Was Also Explored, But Not As Well Done. The Visual's & Music Alongside It Is Masterfully Crafted. Some Parts Required More Dialogue To Tied Scenes Together..Which Could Have Thredded The Overall Story A Little Better, But It Stands Up As Very Good In-Spite Of Any Editing Nuances, Which Could Have Paced Things Along. Thankfully, It Doesnt Get All Too Boring.
All A Bit Too Random Really, With A Story (By Simpsons Producer J.L. Brooks) That Dances Around "Lisa" (Witherspoon) As She Explores Peoples Lives She Is Randomly Dragged Into. The Film Flops Tho Because The Script Just Doesn't Get Any Rhythm Going. Kinda Like An Orchestra With No Harmony, The Well-Known Actors Generally Play Their Parts Well, But Bringing It All Together Just Doesn't Seem To Gell.
Poverty Rising Out Of The Ashes Of Past Victimhood & Gangsta / Criminal Inevitability. The True-To-Life Story Adds Weight To Some Key Performances By Jackson & Dowse. Rap-Singer Ashanti Wasn't Too Bad In Her Role Either. There Was However A Key Part Of The Story, That Is Quickly Beushed Over; That Being The Mess Of The American Education System, Pressured To Do Better For The Kids In School Attendence, With Little More Than Teachers Willing To Help Their Students (More Than Usual) Outside Of School Hours (Which I Figure They Don't Get Paid For) To Help Them Do Better. Instead The Credit Is All Thrown Coach Carters Way, Focusing On A Basketball Game. While This Is Entertaining, I Think It Misses Credit (To Other Teachers) Where It's Due.
The Limit Has Been Reached, Pushed & Given The Next Level Treatment. Like Man Walking On The Moon, Man Taking Flight, This Is An Absolutely Epic Achievement.
