This is a very good comedy. I did not expect that it was so funny. It is about a Turkish family that migrates to Germany, then they back to Turkey after 40 years⦠in practice there is this girl that tells the story of her grandfather who is the N. 1.000.001 immigrant in Germany. It tells about the discovery of a totally new world on the part of the sons of this man who join him later. Then when they return to Turkey they are quite shocked, I mean, some people of the family are happy, some feel more German than Turkish. It is good, and in the Cinema there were many children to see that, and nobody got bored⦠they all followed the adventures of the Yilmazâ(TM)s. I liked the final with all the actors, the young that meets the old, because everything we do remains.
The Artist it is a wonderful movie. Something that you could watch again and again and always feel something. First it is a film that inspire love for the Cinema. Second it is a great idea, because the greatest ideas are simple, and the director, Michel Hazanavicius returns to the very base of the cinema. The movies before the talking. In a world of chats, facebooks and blab la bla, it is great to hear the silence. Well, you can hear the music, and sometimes the Artist himself dreams of a world of sounds. It is great to see him when he listens the sounds of the glass etc. in one nightmare. And also there is this sort of challenge, Talking film VS. Silent, where Berenice Bejo it is the ambassador of the New cinema, and John Goodman the producer. I really loved the little dog. In my opinion it is the great revelation of this film. And Jean Dujardin is a great Mask. To not talk of James Cromwell, who is the chauffeur of the Artist even when he falls in disgrace. All is poetic.
This was considered a great movie by the critics and yes, I can confirm, it is. A journalist wrote âGreat cast except for Carla Bruniâ. I donâ(TM)t know. In Italy her French accent was very bad dubbed. Anyway Carla Bruni has no French accent when she speaks Italian. There are lot of people, real or virtual that I love or that I would like to love more. For instance Rachel McAdams. Then there are all the great writers of the 30ies like Hemingway or Scott Fitzgerald (OK they are not of the 30ies, theyâ(TM)re eternal). And yes I also like Marion Cotillard, which plays the muse of the muses. And I also can mirror myself in the fantasies of the director. Personally I have not all this ambition, It would be satisfactory for me to live in the Rome of the first 60ies and meet Fellini, Monicelli, Pasolini⦠Paris look marvelous. I went there almost 20 years ago, so I donâ(TM)t know if it is like that⦠but I want to believe to Allen. A big question is âwhy all the women fall in love with such a manâ. I mean Owen Wilson is Ok, sensible etc. but he conquered, first Mc Adams, second Cotillard, third another girl which is younger and cuter⦠so why? Off course, because it is a movie. But there are those people even in the reality. Probably it depends on the manners. You can more handsome than Wilson, you can be more clever, but if you donâ(TM)t treat people like they want to be treated, or say what they want to hear⦠life is hard. I find all good, just I think the reconstruction of the past could be quite unreal, I mean Hemingway wasnâ(TM)t the best friend of the first stranger that he met. And also I donâ(TM)t think he was so funny like in the movie. To summarize, a midnight in Paris, where everything could happen like a fairytale, like Cinderella made in France, it is a fantasy worth to be lived. Specially if you love the Art.
