More of a thriller than a slasher due to the lack of graphic violence (there is blood and slashes, severed heads, yet the actual stabs or decapitations are never shown. Plays like a whodunit type killer mystery that is reasonably well done; Also features a nice twist ending and plays with genre expectations (The killer is a girl who only kills girls whom her love interest is interested in or has lusted after in the past).
Some quasi homo-erotic moments among fraternity bros and the initiation process; The murders are robotic and janky. The killers motives are never revealed, and his ability to catch an arrow fired at him out of mid-air, only to later meet his demise via rotted wood makes for some ridiculous moments. Overall, the effects are quite awful, taking away from any potency the kills may have had.
