I really want to like it, but Gallagher misses the mark by a wide margin with his portrayal of Bernard. It's just not at all reflective of the character. Tim Guinee as John the Savage is pretty okay, but whenever he starts quoting Shakespeare, it sounds forced. To be honest, the only things that save this film from being a tremendous disappointment are the soundtrack, which is cheerfully ironic, and Nimoy. His portrayal of the Controller is astoundingly complex, seizing the scene whenever he's on screen. It's too bad though, as some of the elements are excellent, but the execution just didn't pan out.
