The movie felt rushed and not enough character development that I even cared about what was happening to the kids. I feel like this was more a passion project to make monsters look like the amazing book illustrations, and that was perfect. But as a movie, it kinda fell short.
A bit too over the top pointless gore. As much as I love a good slasher, this film was far to campy and cheesy for me to really continue watching - but the concept was genius!
Fantastic horror movie that takes the genre Back to it's roots. The erie camera angles, violin crescendos, and classic looking ghouls that don't rely on gore to scare.
A must see for horror lovers, it'll bring you back to the haunting classics.
A thrilling dark fairy tale for the modern world scored by the bombastic Chemical Brothers.
