a beautiful movie (story, scenery, acting) that addresses poverty, corruption, and faith by examining a week of the life of an Uruguayan family and a father's dream to provide well for his wife and daughter. He needs a miracle to make it happen? Does God help the poor? This movie will tell you.
Es una pelicula muy linda de Espana. Trata de la relacion de un nino con su maestro, su hermano, sus padres y sus amigos en 1936, meses antes de la Guerra Civil. Me conmovio mucho. A very good eposide movie from Spain. It tackles well the relationships of a young boy with his teacher, brother, parents and friends just before the outbreak of the Civil War, 1936. A very moving film. I highly recommend it.
Even though I am not into spy movies, I did like this film and, especially, I enjoyed the twist at the end.
This line is hilarious: when Clive Owens says to Julia Roberts, "I am not good with names. I rate B or B-minus with faces. But where I really excel â people I've slept with. That's been a traditional area of strength with me."
I wish I could say that too. My grade is only C+ on the latter! haha
The most enchanting movie I have seen in a long time. Visually stunning and breathtaking, like a trip to a museum that is rich with colorful paintings. Many beautifully chanted songs and little dialog. The best Iranian movie I have seen. And, on an international level, it's the most artistic, yet not boring. The story comes out in colors, songs, and little dialog (suitable for those who don't like reading sub-titles).
