Against all odds Adam Driver works in a serious role. The scripts actually pretty accurate and very endearing for a divorce scenario.
I liked it better when they made this same exact movie the first time in 1979. It's called "Star Wars." Also, who decided eternal goofball Adam Driver was the next Darth Vader? Lazy.
If they didn't cover up their charismatic villain in a rubber fish suit without a face, then it may have worked.
They covered up one of their best assets in Oscar Isaak with an ugly and humanless costume. Then they relied on a cardboard story with no real idea of a story. Just world domination vs no world domination.
It's not false, but they played with history quite a bit to rearrange Queen's actual timeline to make for a better movie. That said, Rami Malek cracks on beautifully and the ensemble has a frenetic and engaging energy.
