another disappointing Bollywood on the airplane.
Though set in a village all the dancing was cheesy modern stuff (and totally stole from other movies). The plot was extremely slow and boring and totally contrived. But yay it ended happily.
Very strange movie about expat Indians in a made up Russian war. I think it was trying to be a comedy-love-action-thriller or something.
An idea of the crazy jumpiness:
starts off with beautiful Russian scenery, then school girls dancing, fretting over tests, attempted rape, bear humor, rebel war scene, multicostumed falling in love dance. The music within seconds would be humorous then dreamy eyed and the cross graveyard imagery was weird too!
Definitely not my favorite Bollywood
Gloria enjoyed this movie and likes to talk about the worm coming out of his nose, but it is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. They tried to inject way too much depth and emotion of an personal and governmental and environmental story then stupid bear stuff, it got a little better near the end. Good thing it was only 1.5 hours of my life :)
Leave it to Bollywood to make a movie that defies genre. It begins about a British girl fulfilling a dream, turning into a stupid college dude flick, then a love story, then some historical drama and then it turns crazy with death, protests and more....The music is fun, the acting melodramatic as always and I don't agree with the thought of violence as the answer, but still totally compelling.
If you like soccer (futball) if you like seeing the world or if you like coming of age docu then this movie is for you. 2 Americans travel the world playing in pick up games, the narration feels a little read and it starts a little slow but the music is great and its really captivating by the end.
