The Legend of 1900 (La leggenda del pianista sull'oceano)

"I think land people waste a lot of time wondering why. Winter comes and you can't wait for summer.. summer comes... you live in dread of winter. That's why you never tire of traveling. You're chasing some place, far away where it's always summer. Doesn't sounds like a good bet to me."
Almost three hours of a wonderful movie. Of course, you have to love music first.. and then Pruitt Taylor Vince, which is always a delight..

Dead Man's Shoes

When it comes to revenge... this is definitely one of the best.

For a Few Dollars More (Per Qualche Dollaro in Più)
½

A very good western with some interesting twists in the end.
It rises up a new point of view when it comes to Lee Van Cleef playing the role of a good guy.

Lord of War
Lord of War(2005)
½

"I have failed at everything, Yuri... but I won't fail as a human being"

The problems that this movie speaks about are definitely more serious than the movie itself. But I guess that it was never meant to be too serious, since Nicolas Cage is playing the main character.

Besides the obvious message that this movie delivers about war, crimes gun-traffic, violence, I see in this story what defines a big majority of us like "men". We get a job that we think is going to bring us big money, we want more with the more we have, we get involved with all our mind and body in the business, and we forget about our wife, our children. We run for this fake pleasures until we get tired, old and realize that the life passed and we didn't live it.

The most important thing you need to know about this movie is that it will not make you feel good, though you'll love it.

Great Expectations

It is amazing how nowadays it is still considered, by many, the best adaptation of Charles Dickens's classic novel, and it does follow up pretty well the book.
The story is not too complicated, and it has something to do with manipulation, money, pride, but also shame and modesty, confessions and regrets.
The book, and therefore, the movie, has one of the best openings in world fiction:
"My father's family name being Pirrip, and my Christian name Philip, my infant tongue could make of both names nothing longer or more explicit than Pip. So, I called myself Pip, and came to be called Pip."
...the begin of a very interesting story.

Schindler's List

I didn't watch any trailer of this movie, and I didn't know it's story or it's actors, though I recognized Liam Neeson, not only by his look, but more by his powerful acting and voice. He puts a lot of passion in every single character that he plays.

As I didn't know anything about the movie, I was hoping for a drama or for a tearjerker kind of movie and I didn't know what hit me.

At every single movie with this kind of main theme I didn't know what to feel, I think it delivers a different kind of emotion... it is shock, anger, it is hate, sorrow, I don't want to hear again about those tragic moments, and yet I loved this movie and I would like to watch it again from time to time.
I don't think we need to forget what happened there and it cannot do but good to remember from time to time that this kind of things actually happened.Perhaps it makes us better persons, to care about each other a little bit more.At least, this is the message I think we should see.

This touching and inspiring movie it really has an amazing story wonderfully played by all the people involved. It's a fantastic masterpiece by Steven Spielberg.

Les Miserables

I didn't see the other versions, and I am ashamed to say that I didn't read the book, either so I cannot make a comparison, yet.
What I did see was two characters(Jean Valjean and Javert) played very well by Liam Neeson and Geoffrey Rush, in one movie with a very inspiring story.
You get to feel the emotions the characters feel in the movie. You feel their happiness, their sorrow. You are expecting things to happen during the movie and you don't get disappointed.Perhaps this is what the classic novel by Victor Hugo delivers, and I'm looking forward to find out.

Safe
Safe(2012)

Some people were expecting more from this, maybe I was too, but definitely, this movie isn't disappointing. In fact, I really enjoyed it, and not only because I loved every single character of Jason Statham.

Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump(1994)

"You have to do the best with what God gave you"

What you can see, is one man untouched by hate and evil, a man that doesn't have his brain washed by all the crap in the world... a character very well played by Tom Hanks, in one of the most inspiring movies I've seen.

I truly believe that it is one of those movies that one must really watch at least once in a lifetime.

A Clockwork Orange

I wouldn't say that this is a mind-fucking movie as some people think. It messes with your mind, indeed, but it doesn't make you think that much...
This is just a disturbing movie, hard to watch, but with some sick and definitely original ideas. This is the only thing that makes the movie watchable... oh and also the brilliant soundtrack.

The Disappearance of Alice Creed

A great thriller, with some interesting twists.
Three actors and only three are making you actually live the drama of the kidnapped girl.
The movie is not too long but quite interesting and suspenseful.

Limitless
Limitless(2011)

Clever and motivating movie, with some interesting twists.

Blood Out
Blood Out(2011)

It's not a very interesting movie. The plot it's quite simple and predictable enough, but it wasn't time wasted for me.
Luke Goss reminded me of Jason Statham.. he made the movie worth watching for 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Hop
Hop(2011)

You will remember of Alvin and the Chipmunks watching this film, and it's not bad, but not great either.
There are some really cute characters in this movie.. I loved Phil, he was really cool.
The movie hasn't a great acting and the story isn't complicated at all, but it's quite enjoyable.

Blitz
Blitz(2011)

Some really good performances from Jason Statham, the cop that is not really the best law and rules admirer and Aidan Gillen, the skinny serial killer for an action movie with a story not quite original but entertaining enough.
A revenge movie you would not want to miss, especially if you like Jason Statham's style.

Cell 211 (Celda 211)
½

I don't think this is better than Shawshank Redemtion.Still.. it's a very good prison movie.. it has an impressive acting with one great performance by Alberto Ammann.

Ninja Assassin
½

This is not my family. You are not my Father. And the breath I take after I kill you will be the first breath of my life.
There's nothing horror in this movie, and I didn't even think it will be.In fact the movie lived up to my expectations delivering some incredible fight skills. The story isn't a complicated one and it has some cliches, but it was quite alright with an interesting twist that I didn't see coming. What I didn't like was that blood. That thing was overreacted... the blood was flying around like paint.Anyway the movie is worth watching at least for the moment when Raizo(Rain) is training.

Midnight Express

One of the best prison movies that I've seen.
It has a fantastic soundtrack, an original story based on true facts and a terrific performance from Brad Davis.
What you can simply learn from this movie is that you would want to think twice before making what appears just a mistake because you might ruin your life.
It's a movie hard to watch but the lost time is totally worth it.

Con Air
Con Air(1997)

"- You lost your mind?
- According to my last psych evaluation, yes."
Some sense of humor.. some real action and a great cast; all gathered in one really well done thriller.

The Fighter
The Fighter(2010)

I loved Bale's character.. and it's not the only character of Bale that I loved. He's so damn good in acting weird characters, and that along with the whole cast made from this the best boxing movie since Cinderella Man.

Judgment at Nuremberg

- Judge Haywood... the reason I asked you to come: Those people, those millions of people... I never knew it would come to that. You must believe it, You must believe it!
- Herr Janning, it came to that the first time you sentenced a man to death you knew to be innocent.

The judgment of four German judges.. a simple movie at a first watch. But this simple movie kept me entertaining from the very beginning until the end with a strong cast, a clever dialogue and an inspiring story.Though it's a long movie I will re-watch it with pleasure because it's totally worth it.

Hole in One
Hole in One(2010)

Maybe it's a good movie.. I wouldn't know, I stopped watching it after 10 minutes.BORING!

Saving Private Ryan

Indeed a socking movie with too much blood in it, but still.. one of the best and realistic war movies that have been made.A powerful masterpiece by Steven Spielberg.

Enter the Dragon

I used to be a fan of movies that have fight scenes in it, especially of martial arts, and Enter the Dragon is definitely one of the best.
Bruce Lee maybe didn't perform with greatness, but he provided a fantastic martial arts lesson, and made this movie entertaining from the very beginning until the end.Too bad it didn't last longer...

The Rite
The Rite(2011)

In my opinion, this movie had an interesting but too predictable story.I already knew what was going to happen in the end.The difference, I guess, it was made only by the way Anthony Hopkins acted. In fact he is the one who saved this movie and made it worth a watch.

Raging Bull
Raging Bull(1980)
½

A Martin Scorsese piece of art.
It's indeed a movie extremely well filmed with outstanding performances by De Niro and Pesci.
I like boxing, I didn't like the story of this movie, though.. I couldn't stand the rage and jealousy of Robert De Niro's character, but maybe that's why it is considered one of his best performances.

Edward Scissorhands

A fantastic work of art.. the entire movie. It has a sweet and interesting story and at some given moments kind of sad... but it is definitely worth watching especially for the great performance that Johnny Depp is making.

3:10 to Yuma
3:10 to Yuma(2007)

" Sometimes a man has to be big enough to see how small he is. "
A wonderful western movie with two great actors and enough action to keep you entertaining from the very beginning until the end.. and definitely one of the best movies I've ever seen.
It is also a movie about principles and hard living... you might have something to learn from it, or at least I did so you should watch it either you like this kind of action or not.

Wedding Crashers
½

This is not one of the greatest movies I've seen, but I loved the idea.. it just sounds like fun.
If you're in the mood for something funny and if you want to feel the adrenaline a little bit, 'cause you need to have some guts to do something like this, though after a few drinks everything is possible.. maybe this is the movie for you.

The Negotiator
½

I was learning about negotiation 2 years ago at managerial communication at the university where I am studying right now, and one of the examples that our teacher thought he could give to us was a part from this movie:
Farley: Danny, would you relax a little bit?
Danny: I'm relaxed!
But here's some advice
Never say "no" to a hostage-taker.
It's in the manual.
Will you to tell me "no" again?
Farley: No.
Danny: Wrong answer!
Never use "no," "don't," "won't" or "can't." All right?
It eliminates options. The only option that leaves is to shoot someone.
Understand?
Farley: Yes.
Danny: Yes! Good! See? "yes" is good.
You say "no" again, I'll kill somebody.
Let's practice. Can I see a priest?
Farley: You know what? Can we just talk about this right now?
Danny: You wanted to talk! We are talking!
Now, can I see a priest?
Farley: I'll see what I can do?
Danny: That's good, Farley.
Now you're learning.
It is definitely one of my favorite movies and one of the best action thrillers I've seen.Everything is very well done.. the dialogue, the acting, the direction. It is not an ordinary action movie with good guys and bad guys shooting around.. it is much more than that. That's why I will re-watch this movie with pleasure.

127 Hours
127 Hours(2010)
½

Great movie, very well directed and acted, especially because it's all happening around one guy.
It can be a really inspiring movie, and the thing you can learn from it may not be just that you should tell your family where you're going 'cause.. you never know.
I know much credit goes to Boyle, and he deserves it.. but I think James Franco had a big role in this.Being the only actor that really matters in a movie.. you need to give everything you can so that movie can be watchable at least... and he did so much more.

Life Is Beautiful (La Vita è bella)

"This is a simple story... but not an easy one to tell"

I can't even find the words to describe this movie. It brings the two words sad and funny together for one original and incredibly moving story.
Roberto Benigni is fantastic.. he presents a tragic and sad story in such a beautiful way.The sacrifice that Guido makes trying to bring his family together again is amazing. And the way that he talks to his kid.. turning a scary and sad event into an interesting and funny game... I don't know how many people nowadays could do that.Hopefully they don't need to.. but I see in my country, and they made even a TV show about that, young girls becoming mothers.. I just wonder how many of those parents are able to love their children that much...Anyway.. this movie has an incredibly and inspiring story with so much to learn from it and it's one of the best movies I've seen.

August Rush
August Rush(2007)

"The music is all around us, all you have to do is listen"This movie reminded me that there are people with great skills who really love music...but they are not recognized. And I'm sure this is not happening just in my country.
It is definitely one of the most beautiful movies I've seen.If you love music.. you would not want to miss it.

The King's Speech

"Lionel: - Long pauses are good.. they add solemnity to great occasions.
Bertie: - Then, I am the solemnest king who ever lived."

There were a lot of funny and clever moments in this movie that made me laugh and kept me entertained and wanting for more all the entire movie.

I heard some people that found this movie only boring and also called themselves movie-fans.I don't know as many things about movies as I would like to know, but one thing I know for sure: if you wasted that much time in your life watching a lot of movies and you didn't learn anything from them, that makes you an idiot.

The movie reminds me of Pride and Prejudice, when it comes to manners, well behavior, shame, respect and other values that define us as human beings.I truly believe that it is worthy of it's prizes along with Tom Hooper and I will definitely watch it again with pleasure.

The Expendables
½

When I saw the actors that will show up in this one I knew that they will do a great job, especially when I saw Jason Statham's name, and I wasn't mistaking.I really liked every single character, especially Terry Crew's one with his big machine gun.. and I really loved Jason Statham's character as always.I will not say nothing more, just that the end came too soon...

Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son

I found Martin Lawrence funny, so I decided to watch this big momma, too... and I think he had better movies.
The movie has almost the same story... but this time with a naive kid, who plays an awkward music, and think that he's gonna live by doing it for the rest of his life.I love music.. and I didn't enjoy the music in this movie at all...
It had had some funny moments, but I don't think I want to watch it again.

Megamind
Megamind(2010)

A friend compared this with Despicable Me... I think he was wrong, Despicable Me was a lot of fun. This movie.. is so boring in the first half of hour, but it gets better with the change of Megamind.
It's a funny movie at some points, and its worth seeing once... when you really don't have anything else to watch.

Unforgiven
Unforgiven(1992)

For me, it looked like Clint Eastwood made his character an easy one.. because I think he's not actually playing in this movie.. I think he's just himself.

Like every man who likes action, I enjoyed a lot the end of this movie, when Will unleashes his fury, though all the movie was enertaining... I never got bored.

The cast is a big one.. Clint Eastwood was terrific, and Gene Hackman, too.. but I wanted more from Morgan Freeman.

Anyway, this is a very good western, definitely worth seeing.

L'Eclisse
L'Eclisse(1962)

If love would be as simple as it was in this story, I think no one will never fear again to fall in love.Don't get me wrong, women will always be complicated and hard to understand and this movie also proves that... but I think, as Oscar Wilde said, that women are meant to be loved, not to be understood.

Rocco and His Brothers (Rocco e i suoi fratelli)

A wonderful story of a young boy who sacrifices everything in order to keep his familly together.

The cast did a fantastic job.. you don't think this is just a movie, but more a documentary.. it all looked so real.Every single actor played his part very well, and what a brilliant performance done by Alain Delon!

"Rocco's a saint, but what
can he do in this world?
He won't defend himself.
He's so forgiving.
But we mustn't always forgive."
The movie showed me that we should not turn our back to the ones that hurt us or wrong us everytime.. and that is always better to forgive, though I don't think I'm able to do something like Rocco did in this movie.

I never thought I will watch 3 hours of an incredibly good film from the 60's.I'm a young boy and I surely have a lot to learn from this movie.I can't believe I waited for so long to see it.Highly recommended!

Le samouraï
Le samouraï(1967)
½

"Jeff Costello: Why say you did not recognize me?
Valérie: Why kill Marty?
Jeff Costello: I was to be paid.
Valérie: What had he done to you?
Jeff Costello: Not a thing. I didn't know him. I met him for the first and last time 24 hours ago.
Valérie: What sort of man are you?"

It's the first movie that I see with Alain Delon acting and I must say that I truly intend to watch more.He is definitely a great actor. He is the bad guy in this movie and he acted just like a bad guy should.

I don't remember when was the last time I felt so relaxed watching a crime thriller. The movie is incredibly good, fantastic edited and filmed.. especially for that period. It deliveres the ability to communicate a lot without saying almost nothing, it makes every frame feeling so memorable.

The movie also delivers us, the hit-man from the 60's, not really a silent assasin who leaves no print, but more an assasin who tells you straight out what he feels:
Bar Owner: Who are you?
Jeff Costello: Doesn't matter.
Bar Owner: What do you want?
Jeff Costello: To kill you.

It's a fantastic work if you ask me, one movie that you would not want to miss.

Insomnia
Insomnia(2002)

Great performances indeed, and we have Al Pacino proving once again he's one of the greatest actors that ever lived.
In situations like this, it's only about what you think it's right. And if you make a mistake it can cost your career. And you can't trust everybody.
It's an interesting thriller, it will keep you entertained enough untill the very end.

Dog Pound
Dog Pound(2010)

A short prison movie, but this time with children who made some mistakes in their lives, or simply got their because luck turned against them.
I liked Butcher's character, I found myself in it sometimes.
The movie is a short one.. it doesn't have a very complicated story, it's quite predictable.
I recommend this to ones who like prison movies, though this one ends too soon.

Unstoppable
Unstoppable(2010)

Unstoppable is a nice movie for a nice evening.
There's not too much action in it, it's more suspenseful and quite moving at some moments.
I liked how Chris Pine acted in this one and as about Denzel Washington.. I think he made the movie, he just brings something special to movies like this.
The movie it's worth watching at least once.

Love Actually

The movie starts as it ends.. showing us that love actually is all around and that you can see this only by watching a few minutes the people in an airport.

It's indeed one of the best romantic comedies that was ever made.It has an interesting new idea(at least for me), it's well directed and... What a wonderful cast!!

All the stories were sweet and are all supposed to have a happy ending, except Harry's story.. his remorse will hunt him forever, even if he didn't cheat his wife.

You can laugh and you can cry at this movie, something that doesn't happen too often, in my case... so go for it!

P.S. I Love You

"You made me a man, by loving me Holly. And for that, I am eternally grateful... literally. If you can promise me anything, promise me that whenever you're sad, or unsure, or you lose complete faith, that you'll try to see yourself through my eyes. Thank you for the honor of being my wife."
A wonderful movie.. two great actors(Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler which were so sweet togheter).. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is not bad, either and I musn't forget Kathy Bates who playerd her part very well. And though this is a quite moving story, I was so laughing at some moments.
With Hilary Swank(which acted briliant, by the way) as the beautiful wife, .. with Gerard Butler's Irish accent, with Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing the guitar, and with a beautiful soundtrack.. this movie is nothing more than a rewatchable movie.

Pride and Prejudice

An outstanding movie.. one of the most beautiful films I've seen.

There are such things as shame, modesty, education, well-behaviour that I rarely see in my world and are all gathered in this movie. So I wish I would have experienced those times.Nowadays these are all messed up.

Even though I couldn't stand the mother(Brenda Blethyn's character), I loved the cast.. wonderful job done by all the actors, especially by Keira Knightley.

The movie it's so well directed, great acted and filmed, and you might have so much to learn from it, so I highly recommend it.I will surely rewatch it over and over again with the same joy as I did today.

Changeling
Changeling(2008)

Well.. a mother always knows right?
There are some heartbreaking moments in this movie and some moments that will simply rise your anger.I was so hating Jeffrey Donovan's character all the entire movie and I guess it's not just me.

On the other hand.. I really think all the stuff has done an outstanding job with this movie from Clint Eastwood to the entire cast. It's hard to imagine how you could feel like going through something like this.. though it's been written about it.It's hard for me either to believe that something like this really happened.

I don't like Angelina Jolie either, but she had a very important role in this movie, and in what this movie shows us, and I trully believe she did a brilliant job.I hated and I loved this movie at the same time, and that's why I trully recommend it!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
½

I loved the tattoo Noomi Rapace had on her back. You don't want to watch this movie with the family. There's some violence in it, an those things that Lisbeth Salander(Noomi's character) is forced to do, are not something your kids would want to see.
Anyway, the actors did a great job and this is really not a thriller to be missed.

Equilibrium
Equilibrium(2002)
½

"Without love, without anger, without sorrow breath is just a clock ticking"

There's a very interesting point of view delivered by this powerful action, sci-fi movie: world without war, hate, anger.. but this with an incredible price: human emotion, people that aren't able to feel anything at all.

I think this movie reveals the fact that hate, anger, violence were always in human's nature and it will always be.And can only be stopped by taking people's emotions away. But without feelings, life will not have a purpose any longer.. we will just live and die.

The movie has a strong cast, and a quite intelligent idea. And for that it's really worth seeing!

The Ultimate Gift

This is not only a " must see " movie , it is more a movie that can inspire you to change something in your life.

I know that there are not any great actors in this movie, but I truly believe that this is the most amazing film I've ever seen. You can learn so much in only two hours.

The story is about a teenager(Jason) who thought his inheritance was going to be the gift of money and lots of it.All he knew the best was to spend money and thought that they were all you need to be happy.Soon enough he will change his way of thinking, he will learn to love, to dream, to be a truly friend, how it feels like to care about people around you , how it feels like to have nothing left to call your own, to sleep between strangers and what importance have money when they are earned by hardly work; all these with a little help from his grandfather.

Dinner for Schmucks

It had some funny moments, but most of the film was too weird and full of cliches.

Orphan
Orphan(2009)

A very good horror movie.. You just don't expect it to go that way, that's why is so creepy and twisted.
The cast is wonderful.. Isabelle Fuhrman was irritating me all the entire movie , she acted great as Esther.
It's an excellent film, and you don't have to be a horror fan to like it.

Caged Animal
Caged Animal(2010)
½

It's a prison movie, and like almost all the prison movies.. it has an important message: "stay out of jail" or at least that's what I learned from this kind of movies. There are a lot of people who would say that they wouldn't have any problems in jail, but that's only because they didn't experience the inside of any prison.Once you get inside, your life becomes suddenly harder, especially when you are alone.

The cast isn't a great one, there's not too much action in it, and the story isn't that good, though it has an interesting end, if you ask me.. but the movie definitely was worth seeing just because Robert LaSardo played in it.In fact, this is the only reason I wanted too see this movie. He's perfect for this kind of movies and I love his tattoos. He had a small part in this movie, though.

No Country for Old Men
½

Well, I didn't quite like the end either.. but with a great cast like this, I don't think I get to complain.. I'm just happy I've seen it.It's an intense, well directed and entertaining film.. definitely worth seeing.

Red
Red(2010)

It didn't feel like it was an action movie at all.It is fun and entertaining indeed.. I was so laughing at some moments, but that's all. This is nothing more but a fine comedy.

I was expecting more from Morgan Freeman. He could do something more in this one.. he's not that old to play just the role of a retired, sick CIA agent.

The movie has a great cast, and I knew it will be fun since the moment when I saw Bruce Willis was going to play but I think I just wanted to see some real action. If you liked Losers with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, you will like this.Though even that movie had more action..

The Game
The Game(1997)

Watching this movie, I found myself in the situation of asking myself a couple of times "How it will finally end?" or "What now?".The movie has a lot of twists and the whole cast was great.

The idea of the film.. I really think it can only be seen in movies.Doing something like that to a person.. you never know how people can react to something like this... it could cause a heart attack or something.

It took me a couple of days to finally watch it, and I'm glad I finally did.I'm pretty sure I didn't waste my time.

Definitely, Maybe

"- I discovered who my mom is in the story.
- Well, who is it?
- Not telling!"

A very cute movie.Ryan Reynolds did a fine job here, Isla Fisher as beautiful and smart and funny as always.. and Abigail which is.. well, she's always amazing, the kind of irrezistible cute girl who helps problematic adults to make up togheter. She's also very smart.

The movie has a very sweet story with a great cast in it.You should watch it if you're in the mood for a sweet romantic comedy!

50 First Dates

I enjoyed this movie a lot..a very funny , beautiful love story with two great actors.I hope I will be in real life at least by half as good as Adam Sandler's character was in this movie. If you ask me, this is his best performance.

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans
½

This film really fights for Nicolas Cage's best performance.Brilliant acting and very interesting story.Definitely a movie worth seeing and not just once!

How to Train Your Dragon

One of the best animated films I've seen.It has a sweet story and like almost all of these films.. an important message.

Let the Right One In

I heard and I read a lot of good things about this, so I knew it was going to be great and the movie lived up to my expectations and it was even better.

It's not a movie for everybody, mostly because of it's dark side.. it is a little bit creepy. However, If you can't get over this part, you should still really watch it because this so much more than just a vampire movie.

The relationship that grows between those two children, their brilliant acting and the fact that the movie is so well directed and filmed should motivate you strong enough to go for it.

Cool Hand Luke

"What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men. "

I've heard this so many times in the song "Civil War" by Guns 'N Roses and I had no idea what it was all about, after I finally saw this movie and I must say that this is a wonderful prison film with an incredible performance by Paul Newman.

For us, the younger ones this movie might be a life lesson. It's a movie about the strength of mind and about principles.

Monsters, Inc.
½

I saw this movie a couple of years ago, and I must say.. it looked more funny now.
All the characters are funny, and my favourite is Boo.It's a very cute animated film!

Bad Santa
Bad Santa(2003)

This is definitely not a movie for kids to watch in a Christmas Eve or something.. a lot of dirty talking, shooting guns, and bad behaviour. It was funny, though.. for me.I really think Billy Bob did a good job as the "Bad Santa", and the fat kid was freaking me out, too... damn!

Out of Time
Out of Time(2003)

A quite interesting thriller, with Denzel Washington as the wrong accused cop, proving once again that he's a great actor, and Eva Mendes as the beautiful woman that helps him.
Though this movie is well directed and has a great storyline(something new for me), there's not too much action in it.But it is definitely worth seeing.

Disney's A Christmas Carol

At first it was a little boring, but it turned up to be a really good story. The thing is... it was too much darkness in it.

The Town
The Town(2010)

"- It's gonna be a motherfucker you know that, right?
- James Coughlin: Well, if it were easy kid, everybody would do it."

Great action in this movie and the acting was terrific.Jeremy Renner was perfect for his character, and Ben Affleck showed that he can not only act but direct the hell out of a movie, too.

The Butterfly Effect

A very interesting thriller with an intelligent idea. This is one of those movies that makes you ask yourself what would happen if you could go back in time and change something in your life.
It has a good cast.I don't know if Ashton Kutcher was the perfect man in his role but he played very well.I didn't see many movies with him, but from what I saw.. I think this is his best character.

Along Came a Spider

"I am living proof, that mind is a terrible thing."
I always loved Morgan Freeman's characters.. and this one is one of the best.If you liked se7en.. you will like this film.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe

Lord Of The Rings for children, as someone around here said.
It's a sweet family movie, a dream-land with good and bad characters.I loved the lion, Liam Neeson was pretty good.
It doesn't have a great acting, but it isn't boring at all.I actually found it entertaning.

Four Brothers

A lady got killed in Detroit in something that looked like an ordinary murder.. or at least that's what a witness said. But was it?
The four brothers that she adopted come in town for the funeral and seekins for revenge, but they found out that things changed around since they left and find themself in the situation of dealing with a whole army. They have an advantage, though.. they are smart.
The movie it's full of good action.. and it's one of the best revenge movies I've see.I trully recommend it.

Lottery Ticket
½

Dumb movie with dumb characters.Waste of time.. I wouldn't resist two days in a town like that: hypocrites, a lot of fake friends and a guy who's too damn blind to see it.
The movie had its moments.. but I would never watch it again.

Inception
Inception(2010)

Brilliant! You need to relax and have your mind clear before watching this movie.. otherwise, you might gain a headache.A spectacular job done by Christopher Nolan. The movie has an incredibly intelligent idea.. and it's quite playing with your mind through it's story.Wonderful played and well thought.

25th Hour

Edward Norton played spectacular in this movie, as usual.. he's like.. the man for movies like this.He brings something special in every movie.Barry Pepper was good, too and Rosario Dawson is a very beautiful woman.
The movie has an interesting story about responsability, true friendship, trust, betrayal and honor. It's not a movie to lose!

Never Back Down

I really hated Cam Gigandet's character in this movie, but he did a good job as the bad guy.Sean Faris played well too.I also liked Evan Peters in this movie.. he was kind of funny. It's a fight movie so you musn't expect it to have a great story.. but for it's genre wasn't so bad.I actually saw some good fight scenes in it.

Fighting
Fighting(2009)

The movie reminded me a little bit of Never Back Down. The difference between them is that in this movie I didn't see a single fight scene worth watching. The girl(Zulay Henao) was very beautiful, though. But that was all.

Jumper
Jumper(2008)

I wish I could do something like that.. it would really solve a lot of problems. As about the movie.. it isn't a great one.Doug Liman could have worked a little bit more at the story.. there were a lot of unexplained things in this movie and some questions that you'll keep asking even after the movie will finish.

GoodFellas
GoodFellas(1990)

"Tommy DeVito:Hey Frank, let's chop him up.
Frankie Carbone: All right.
Tommy DeVito: Where you going? Where you going, you dizzy motherfucker, you?
Frankie Carbone: To chop him up.
Tommy DeVito: At Charlie's, not here! "

With a cast like this I was absolutely sure that this is going to be one of the best mafia movies of all time. And I wasn't wrong at all.I know that Robert De Niro is one of the greatest actors ever and Ray Liotta perfectly matches in every mafia movie but I loved Joe Pesci in this one, I actually loved every single character of him. He's absolutely great in this genre of movies.
The soundrack, the acting, the action, the humor.. all were terrific. An absolutely amazing movie!

Taken
Taken(2009)

I didn't expect from the title to see such a high speed action movie, with such a good and quite original story but I was so wrong.Liam Neeson was spectacular in his role. Not only that the movie was entertaining and so exciting but it's story always kept me wondering what is going to happen next and that makes it one of the best in it's genre.Highly recommended!

The Condemned

"- What were you doing in El Salvador?
- Working on my tan.
- Why did you blow the building up?
- It was blocking my sun. "
This isn't quite as bad as I expected to be.I actually enjoyed it.The action and the story were pretty good and the Stone Cold's ironic humor made it a little bit more entertaining.

The Pianist
The Pianist(2002)

This is an excellent movie, a depressing one but still..brilliant; a beautiful and dark tale about a man and the struggle to survive.Roman Polanski definitely did a great job with this movie, and Adrien Brody's acting was perfect in my opinion. This is a movie about how we are right now and about us capable of so much hate and anger, capable of being so brutal with other human being. And this wasn't hapening just then, in war.. you can find those feelings in people's minds nowadays, too, which shows us that we didn't grow that much, did we?

Fireproof
Fireproof(2008)

Great movie, with a very well done acting and an important message.A movie with a simple but deeply moving story about a man who finds himself in the situation of having a near-dead marriage and who finds a way to revive it.

"Welcome to the boat of love"

I think anyone of us would like to do something like that at least for a couple of weeks in life.
I do like music, so that makes the movie more enjoyable, but I really think the storyline was quite interesting and incredibly funny. The actors were great, and the music.. beautiful.

The Mask of Zorro

I don't remember how many times I actually watched this movie, and I think I will do it again sometime and not because it is that great, but because it is one of the most distributed films on TV screen in my country.

Jason Statham is already my favorite actor, and Ray Liotta and Vincent Pastore match perfectly in a gangster movie like this one.And I liked Andre Benjamin's character too.You need to let go every feeling that can disturbe you and focus at this movie to actually understand it.

Inside Man
Inside Man(2006)

A bank robbery film that, I don't know if it brings something new, but I do think that it has quite clever idea for it's genre. And with two actors like Clive Owen and Denzel Washington, this film can only be worth watching.

Glory
Glory(1989)

"There's more to fighting than rest, sir. There's character. There's strength of hear"
Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman gathered together in a great war movie. If you haven't already, you should check this out!

Mortal Kombat

Hah!!I loved this movie and the game.I remember playing the game with some mates at school like some crazy kids who discovered computers for the first time in their life. And it's not far away from the truth, lol.

Meet the Fockers

I hate Ben Stiller and almost all of his characters, but in this movie I liked Dustin Hoffman's character.I think he's the one that makes this movie worth watching.

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

Though movies with idiots that put themselves in ridiculous situations for people to laugh are not my cup of tea, I have to admin that I was actualy laughing at this one.But I know I would not watch it again...

Braveheart
Braveheart(1995)

Well, this is definitely one of the best films ever made.Based on a true story and with a spectacular acting, this is definitely a movie that everyone should see!!

My Sister's Keeper

A very interesting film about a family with two kids and a heartbreaking story that happens to be a part of their life.

The sad story starts when parents found out that their daughter, Kate(Sofia Vassilieva) has leukemia. Is there when mom, Sara(Cameron Diaz) quits her job and tells her husband " I'm not going to let her die ".
It is there too when the doctor that it is supposed to take care of Kate comes with an idea that looks to me more like horror. He decided to suggest her parents to have another baby, Anna(Abigail Breslin) , but this time, the baby will have a purpose : to become a donor to her sister.
At a given moment, and that is when Anna it's supposed to donate to her sister her kidney, Kate seems to be tired of surgeries and asks her very clever sister for help.
It is there when Anna, at 11 years old, seeks for a famous lawyer, Campbell Alexander trying to hire him to earn medical emancipation from her mother.
The things go in the way Kate wanted to go, at least in the movie(because i've heard that in the book the end is pretty different), and instead of another surgery they all go at the beach and have a good time , with a little bit difficulties from Sara who still wants to keep her promise.

However you will take it, this is definitely a heartbreaking drama and you might want to see it because we definitely have a lot to learn from it.

A movie filled with interesting action, great clever dialogue, memorable characters and great humor.Highly recommended.. not with kids around though.

American History X

An excellent movie. One of Edward Norton's best characters.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

If you liked snatch, than you'll probably like this movie too.The mixture of comedy and violence will keep you entertained.

The Last Airbender
½

It's a nice story, a story to be continued, if I'm right..
I liked the characters, I loved the special effects, but I think the actors ruined the film... Noah Ringer was the best actor in this movie.M. Night Shyamalan wasn't very inspired with this one..

StreetDance 3D

And the ballet boy got the sex goddess.. sweet.I kinda hoped for that.
It was a real good movie with some great choreographed dances with a little bit of romance, some funny moments that made me smile, though I wasn't in the mood, and a little bit of drama too.. but insignificant.
I couldn't be but grateful after I saw this movie.I think we need this kind of movies at some given moments.. and for me.. this one came just in time!

Stay
Stay(2005)

Weird.. I got lost at a given moment.Great cast with Ryan Gosling who did a good performance as Henry Letham.A quite interesting thriller.

30 Days Of Night: Dark Days

I was so trying to find a reason why I actually watched this movie 'til the end and the only thing that came in my mind was that I loved the first one so much and I hoped the entire movie that some action will show up.
I truly don't recommend this one!

"Gandhi said that whatever you do in life will be insignificant. But it's very important that you do it. I tend to agree with the first part."
I really find myself into this movie.. in Robert Pattinson's character and that makes it one of my favorite.Everyone was making such a big deal of his acting after Twilight and I was kinda sick of it but I have to admit that he really is good.I also loved Emilie De Ravin's character, too.. she's very beautiful.
It's a very interesting movie, especially when you actually experienced some part of it in real life.I think nobody expected the movie to end like that.. I, for one didn't... but I still think it's not a movie to be missed.

This movie has a great cast, and an interesting depressing story.

Life
Life(1999)

"Dexter Wilkins: You've been on this farm for quite a spell, haven't you?
Claude Banks: Over 40 years now, me and Ray Gibson over there.
Dexter Wilkins: 40 years... that's a long time for any crime, even murder.
Claude Banks: It's a hell of a lot longer when you're innocent.
Dexter Wilkins: Half the men in this prison swear they're innocent, Claude. Don't you think that's kind of funny?
Claude Banks: Well, you have to forgive me if I don't laugh. "

That's what this movie is about and you have to admit that this is some "fucked up shit".. like they would say.And that's because it doesn't happen just in movies.Unfortunately this is real and it's happening too often, if you ask me.

I really felt like I wanted to kill somebody a couple of times. But it only remained as ideas... and that's how it will stay.I'm glad I have my mind opened, though I wouldn't get 'life' like Ray and Claude got in this movie, because that's the shit nowadays.. you kill somebody, you get about 20 years of jail and that in the worst case. After that you are free to start killing again.Sometimes you get into jail for nothing.. while those government fat boys are free to steal. My country is ruled by some fucking idiots.. not only that they cannot found solutions for getting our country out of the mess, but they are still stealing and trying to benefit by the fact that our country is in a big crisis. Now are not they the one who should get the 'life'?

Although this is not a story to laugh about, I will always laugh every time I will watch this movie again.. in my opinion it has a great sense of humor brought by Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence and not only.It will always entertain me.

Centurion

It's a worth seeing film.

The Notebook
The Notebook(2004)

This is a movie with a breathtaking story. You just need to have a heart of stone for not liking this film. What Ryan Gosling's character did in this movie is just amazing. It takes faith.. family support and a great soul to do something like this.
One of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen.Highly recommended!

Gamer
Gamer(2009)

I expected more from a movie including Gerard Butler after I saw Law Abiding Citizen, which is one of the best movies I've seen and this one was kinda' boring... humans controlling other humans, and a kid controlling a grown up man? That's some weird shit...

Jeff Dunham: Spark of Insanity

Walter is just too freakin' great. This makes me laugh the shit out of me every time I watch it.Awesome!

Gladiator
Gladiator(2000)

"The beating heart of Rome is not the marble of the Senate. It's the sand of the Colosseum. He'll bring them death, and they will love him for it."
This was the quote that I loved the most in this movie.
Gladiator... one of the best movies ever. And Maximus one of Russell Crowe's best characters. It's so sad that this wonderful masterpiece it's inspired by reality.I won't get into details with this one.. it's no use. It's just a "must see" movie!

Full Metal Jacket

I've seen some war movies.. and this one really fights for the first place. It has some main actors that did great performances in it.. actors like Matthew Modine, R. Lee Ermey and Vincent D'Onofrio.
This movie has two parts.. one part until Gomer Pyle's suicide.. a part with a huge sense of humor. And the other part after Pyle's death which reveals the ugly side of war.
This is definitely one of my all time favorite movies.

Wrong Turn(2003)

Blood and fucking violence.. in horror movies... not my cup of tea, I prefer vampire movies, though.Anyway... I watched it and I must say that this one wasn't too bad.I actually enjoyed it in patches.. the rest of them(Wrong Turn 2,3) were.. boring.

Crank

Well... at my graduating high school english exam I had to speak about my favorite actor and one of his movies and I chose this one.. and not because Jason Statham is the greatest actor in the world... but just because he makes it so easy and I do like he's style.. especially in this one.

Crank 2: High Voltage

I just didn't like this as much as I liked the first one.It was just too damn far away from real.

Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself

He's definitely the best at what he's doing.

The Final Destination

I truly believe that this film is nothing more than a wasting of time... it got me bored and those premonitions and the death that comes after those teens and kill almost all is just a stupid idea.I definitely don't found this movie entertaining as almost all of this kind of ' horror ' movies.

The International

Some action, Clive Owen and Naomi Watts.. a quite interesting movie.

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day

"And they that holdest my name shall come with the shaking of the earth and the roiling of the oceans"This was definitely worth seeing, a very well done film; the acting was as great as it was in the first one and the new guy, Clifton Collins Jr. , was perfectly matching. If the first one was great , this one is even better with a lot of explosive action and humor.

Defiance
Defiance(2009)

Only there you would not want to live. And I'm looking now at the new generates ..at these poor children which feel sad from every little thing that happen in their life ; we should be more than happy that we weren't born in such a mess and start to appreciate the life that we have.

Pay It Forward

This is another deeply moving film. The kid in this movie is just amazing... and what he did at his age, takes a lot of courage and a big, big heart. Not only the idea from this film is amazing , but the message that we should help each other definitely more than we are doing it now is also great.

Law Abiding Citizen

" I'm gonna pull the whole thing down. I'm gonna bring the whole fuckin' diseased, corrupt temple down on your head. It's gonna be biblical." From all the 'revenge' movies I've seen, this is definitely the best by it's original and quite intelligent idea, it's acting starting with Gerard Butler as Clyde Shelton, it's action full of adrenaline.I was interested in watching another movies with Gerard Butler after I saw this one, and I must say that Clyde Shelton is definitely his best character.

Moulin Rouge!

" The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return "If I wouldn't have experienced those wonderful feelings on the one hand and the sad ones on the other one, perhaps I wouldn't love this movie so much.. but in a strange way I did so, this is definitely one of my favorite movies. There is nothing to say about the storyline , the actors, the music... all were absolutely amazing.

Sweet November

" If love is blindIf love's a drugIt always is It always wasAnd love was surely made for fools like me "I truly believe this song(performed by Lisa Loeb) perfectly matches with this movie. The story in this film is quite interesting and the actors that are performing couldn't do a better job, in my opinion.

500 Days of Summer

"This is a story of boy meets girl, but you should know upfront, this is not a love story."

Yes.. this is not a love story, it's a story about love.. the most beautiful feeling that can hurt you.If you have never experienced this kind of emotions.. you may found this movie boring. But this is a really inspiring movie.. it can make you notice the little things in relationships.

Summer and Tom are two, real every day people with a lot in common but so different, one of the other...Tom, a believer in true love and Summer.. a doubter.Sometimes, going after what feels good means letting go of what you know is right, and letting someone in means abandoning the walls you've spent a lifetime building and that's what happens in their case.

It's a very well done movie with two main actors that did great performances(Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt), with a realistic nature, a wonderful music and a beautiful cinematography.

Grown Ups
Grown Ups(2010)

Hitman

The Machinist

" Trevor Reznik: Stevie, I haven't slept in a year.
Stevie: Jesus Christ!
Trevor Reznik: I tried him too. "

I liked every single movie that had Christian Bale in it, and in my opinion, in this one he did one of his best performances, and not just because he lost all that weight.

Undisputed 2: Last Man Standing

Well.. I like this kind of movies with fight action. The story might not be great and so does the acting, but Michael Jai White definitely makes every fight memorable. And the last fight of this movie sure is one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen in movies.

The Hurricane

This movie seemed to last to long not because it was boring, but because I was so tired when I watched it.I don't know Rubin Carter's story, but this seemed to be an inspiring movie with a great performance made by Denzel Washington.I love sport, maybe that's the reason I enjoyed the movie that much.Anyway, I truly believe you will not waste your time watching it.

Dennis the Menace

This is one of my childhood movies.. so i definitely enjoy it every time I watch it, even now; that kid is great.

In Bruges
In Bruges(2008)

" Ken: What the fuck are you doing, Ray?
Ray: What the fuck are 'you' doing?
Ken: Nothing.
Ray: Oh, my God... you were gonna kill me.
Ken: No, I wa - You were gonna kill yourself!
Ray: Well... I'm allowed.
Ken: No, you're not!
Ray: What? I'm not allowed, and you are? How's that fair? "

A great dark comedy thriller, set in a beautiful town of Belgium, Bruges featuring two Irish men arriving there after a job they had to do that didn't go as they wanted to.

The action reminded me of Hitman. The boss ordered them to kill a priest but the things didn't go well so a boy got killed by Ray. After the mission they waited for more instructions that didn't late to arrive: " Get the fuck out of London, you dumb fucks. Get to Bruges. "
Bruges appeared to be a place for hiding but this wasn't the only reason they were sent there.Someone had to pay for the boy that got killed and in the end ...someone did.

I have to say I don't remember when I laughed that much at a film like this.It is definitely a worth seeing movie. It has a great dialogue, a great ironic humor, it is very well directed and it has a great casting.

Crazy Heart
Crazy Heart(2009)

I love music.I watched the trailer of this movie and the music in it convinced me to watch the film and I must say I definitely don't regret. It's a really good movie with a beautiful soundtrack and a great actor.
The music is not the only thing that made me loving this movie. The story is good too, it's about a broken country singer(Bad Blake) with few marriages from which one of them brought him a boy he didn't see for 20 years ,a boy that has now 24 years.Bad has also a drinking problem and the only thing that will make him quit and change his life for real is a lovely lady that he meets in one small village and her little boy.
As someone around here said, if you love music and movies you definitely won't regret seeing it.

The Chorus (Les Choristes)

If you love music you will definitely love this movie. It has a good story and the music in it is beautiful. The film is about a music teacher who comes to a school that has a motto: "Action - Reaction" which doesn't really work with the problematic children , and a hard minded principal. The new teacher, Monsieur Clement finds a way to reach the boys and tries to convince the principal that he can bring true order in his school, which will not be as easy as he thinks it will be.He will find here a really talented boy who will help him fulfill his duty and his wish.

Seven Years in Tibet

" If only my hand could express, what is in my heart. "

Despite of the acting not very well done and the bad accents, this is an interesting and inspiring movie about finding new culture, new people with different believes, different thoughts, different points of view and the challenge of changing yourself by taking from all these what you think is better for you.

Napoleon Dynamite

Maybe I didn't get the message or something... I don't know, but this movie was so boring...I couldn't watch it 'till the end.

Shutter Island

For psychological thrillers , this is definitely a masterpiece that can leave you breathless at some moments. It has a great storyline and great actors. It's a movie that can be scary at some points and definitely a movie that will make you think.

A kind of movie that propose you to ask yourself to one question: what if you could go back in time, live your life all over again and change something in it?
I'm more addicted to movies inspired from reality or movies with ideas that could happen in real life and this kind of idea , going back in time by falling into water and waking up after a second in the past ...I don't think it's my cup of tea.
I think I hate this movie because I am one of those persons who would like to go back in time and change a little bit of their life.

Man on Fire
Man on Fire(2004)

" A man can be an artist... in anything, food, whatever. It depends on how good he is at it. Creasey's art is death. He's about to paint his masterpiece. "

An action and often moving film that I truly recommend especially for it's cast.
Denzel Washington was amazing and Dakota Fanning was perfectly matching in her role.I would have liked Christopher Walken to appear more often in the movie.
Great cast, great story, beautiful soundtrack for an amazing film.

Cinderella Man

I like Boxing but this is not the only reason I loved this movie so much. The story is amazing and the acting was great. When I saw it's title , I thought that this is going to be " some kind of a girly movie " or something, but I watched the trailer, I decided to watch the movie and I definitely don't regret.

I didn't know who Jim Braddock was until I saw this movie and this story really moved me.It's about two wonderful parents with three great kids, a family that finds itself in the situation of living very difficult times but the love they have for each other, the hope that they never lost , the power of never giving up, of staying together whatever may come will take them out from that hard living.

The acting was great, every single actor excelled in his/her's action.Russell Crowe did a great job and lived up to the expectations and Renee Zellweger was perfectly matching as " the supporting wife ".

This story made me more grateful for what I have than I used to be.It's truly an inspiring movie with a really good story. You should watch it either you like this kind of sport or not.

I enjoyed the first one a lot, I loved very much the idea ..it was definitely something new for me and I definitely loved the acting, especially Owen Wilson .The Battle Of The Smithsonian was good as well, but I didn't found it as entertaining as it was the first one... but it is also a good comedy and I don't think you'll waste your time watching it.

The Insider
The Insider(1999)

Al Pacino and Russell Crowe are two of my favorite actors so I definitely liked the movie ..but only for their performances... if it wasn't for them I don't think I would found this movie as entertaining as I did.

What Dreams May Come

" Thank you for every kindness. Thank you for our children. For the first time I saw them. Thank you for being someone I was always proud to be with. For your guts, for your sweetness. For how you always looked, for how I always wanted to touch you. God, you were my life. I apologize for every time I ever failed you. Especially this one... "

One true beautiful love story between two persons who experienced, in real life and in the after one all the nightmares they could ever have and who finally ended up together in one beautiful dream.
Although this is an heart breaking movie and either you hate it or love it, this movie is definitely too beautiful for not watching it till the end.

Wonderful World

A really nice story of a depressed man, Ben Singer(Matthew Broderick) who has a negative outlook on the world, which caused him his family and, later, one of the few warm relationships he had.
He sees his daughter weekly and he transfers his negative state of mind to her which makes her not wanting to see his father anymore.
He also has a roommate ,Ibu (Michael K. Williams) who, at one given moment lapses into diabetic coma. This caused his sister, Khadi (Sanaa Latham) to come to see her brother.Another thing that she does is to change a little bit that negative outlook of Ben.
I don't found this an extraordinary film, but I think it had an well done acting , a pretty touching story , a kind of story I didn't hear before and a beautiful music.. I guess that's why I liked it more for.

Night at the Museum

When I saw the title of this movie I thought that some exhibits could come alive or something like that... but this movie was definitely over my expectations. It had a lot of funny moments , some action and a little bit of romance. In e few words , this is a really good family film for people of all ages.

A Man Apart
A Man Apart(2003)

They say that a man who has lost everything is capable of anything... this movie brought me tears , even if it is not such a moving one, but the love that they had and the fact that you need to live the rest of your life with the idea that your happiness was once took away from you by some fucking brainless idiots with guns is pretty moving.Anyway , I know how Sean(Vin Diesel) felt when his wife was killed, though it didn't happen to me and I don't wish to anybody such a tragedy.
For this kind of movies with an action that has something to do with revenge , this is not a great one, but still , it remains an entertaining film, thanks more to Vin Diesel, if you ask me.

Training Day
Training Day(2001)
½

Life could be a pretty messed up thing down there on the streets, especially when you are a corrupt undercover police officer. The action wasn't great and it had some mistakes.. in my opinion, Denzel Washington saved this movie proving once again he is a really talented actor.

Slumdog Millionaire

Love, money, a lot of funny moments and good music.. all gathered in a really sweet story.

The Bucket List

" The simplest thing is... I loved him. And I miss him. Carter and I saw the world together. Which is amazing... When you think that only three months ago, we were complete strangers! I hope that it doesn't sound selfish of me but... the last months of his life were the best months of mine. He saved my life... And he knew it before I did. "

I could watch this movie every day and I will always found it as entertaining as it was when I saw it the first time. Two great actors, a lot of funny moments and a pretty moving story all these gathered for an excellent movie.

Joan of Arc
Joan of Arc(1999)

Loved this film..and it will be always one of the best movies for an entertaining week-end.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

" A drug person can learn to cope with things like seeing their dead grandmother crawling up their leg with a knife in her teeth. But no one should be asked to handle this trip. "
Drugs and the weird life you live it when you are their slave.. and it's not far away from the truth.Johnny Depp made the movie.

Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man

Great movie.. good action, humor and sweet motorcycles.

Imagine That
Imagine That(2009)

A cute family film ..with an adorable child who make her father think twice on choosing career instead of his family.

Year One
Year One(2009)

This movie is very not entertaining ..it had a few funny moment of witch you doesn't have to be very smart to laugh. In a few words this movie was full of stupidity, you could have a headache after watching it.

Outlander
Outlander(2009)

I'm not a fan of Science -Fiction movies..but this one wasn't so bad... maybe because that there wasn't too much of it. Anyway.. I loved the creature , the story wasn't bad.. it had an entertaining action and a solid acting.

Serendipity
Serendipity(2001)

A sweet movie with a beautiful love story ..a movie that can make you wish that something like that could really happen.Maybe all you need is to have faith...

Once upon a Time in Mexico

The " Sons of Mexico " are back together to finish up a mission( that seems to be saving the president in the end) with a little bit different toys and a new mariachi, Enrique Iglesias that doesn't match at all with his role. Anyway , the movie is pretty much as entertaining as the previous film ' Desperado ' with beautiful women , guns , an action that reminded me of Jason Statham's " Snatch " or " Lock , Stock And Two Smoking Barrels ", and definitely with more humor brought by Johnny Depp (Sands).

Big Momma's House

This is really a good relaxing movie you can watch in week-end.It keeps you entertained and it has it's funny moments, too.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Well, I'm definitely not a shopaholic and I hate when I have to go shopping , especially with a woman.. but, this film wasn't so bad and Isla Fisher made a good acting as usual.
I really think this was a good comedy and i definitely loved the scene when Rebecca payed her debt in trifles ..and I think that was really the best revenge.

Pi
Pi(1998)

A film about a genius mathematician who has built a supercomputer at home that provides something that can be understood as a key for understanding all existence.
He rules his life by some assumptions:
Mathematics is the language of nature;
Everything around us can be represented and understood from numbers;
If you graph the numbers in any systems, patterns emerge. Therefore there are patterns everywhere in nature.
He is trying to figure out a system to predict the behavior of the stock market.
He is followed by a company interested in his results and by an orthodox Jew who believes that his number is a code sent from God.
He believes that the number and these terrible headaches he is enduring have some connection so he tries to focus on the number through the pain, but he crushes and has a vision which after he reveals he is no longer able to perform mental calculation.
This is an intelligent film, though I didn't understand it's end.

88 Minutes
88 Minutes(2008)
½

I hadn't high expectations for this film but it wasn't such a bad thriller , especially with AL Pacino's acting , an acting that got better throughout the film.
Though it doesn't get you bored at any time(at least I didn't feel bored at it), this film is definitely more for Al Pacino's fans.

The Soloist
The Soloist(2009)

" I can tell you that by witnessing Mr. Ayers's courage, his humility, his faith in the power of his art, I've learned the dignity of being loyal to something you believe in. Of holding onto it, above all else. Of believing, without question, that it will carry you home. "

This is definitely an incredible interesting, deeply moving film.It is about a very talented man who loves music more than anything else in the world : " Beauty is Art; music is beauty " and who has a purpose in life: to be like Ludwig Van Beethoven. He starts to learn cello and the music teacher he has says that he is the most talented child that he met.
The destiny is cruel to Nathaniel Anthony Ayers(Jamie Foxx) and he become sick. The mental problem he has appears between him and his career, so he become a homeless man and starts to play violin on the streets.
A journalist find him and is touched by the homeless man's devotion to music: " I've never loved anything the way he loves music " and decides to help him and he succeed in some way, because he finds some difficulties caused by Nathaniel's mental problems.
This movie has a good story and two actors that make great performances

Angels & Demons

Very interesting film with good action and a little bit of mystery. This is my opinion without reading the book ; I heard there is a quite difference between them.Anyway, I don't think it's a waste of time watching it.

Fight Club
Fight Club(1999)

" Hitting bottom isn't a weekend retreat. It's not a goddamn seminar. Stop trying to control everything and just let go! LET GO! "

Some of us just need a motivation, an impulse to break up the ordinary routine.
Sometimes things may go as we want and we start to feel the adrenaline and maybe start a life that we always wanted to live, or sometimes we can loose control and until we wake up ..all the things that surround us may become a total mess.
This is a very intelligent film , with two great performances made by Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.

WALL-E
WALL-E(2008)

This is a very cute animated film. It has a charming love story and a great message.

Carlito's Way

A great movie about good choices , bad choices , sacrifices, things that you are willing to lose in a game with many risks even if the playing field is all about you and the game is your own life ( and when love comes between all this , things may become too risky ) .
A movie about friends that are your friends only as long as they need something from you, and after they get what they want , they just don't give a sh*t on who you are anymore.
Wonderful story line and great acting!

Legends of the Fall
½

Great movie with great actors, beautiful places, nice story..but too much pain.It made me feel those deep sad feelings.

John Q
John Q(2002)

I don't know if there is something to like or love in this movie..because it was an experience that I'm sure nobody wants to live, and an idea that will never change anything , especially in a sick system like that..but anyway , I loved it; great performance for Denzel Washington as usual.

Cidade de Deus (City of God)

What scares the sh*t out of me is that those things really happen.

Home Alone
Home Alone(1990)

A movie of my childhood. What is not to love in this movie? It will always make me laugh.

The Day the Earth Stood Still

Maybe something like that should happen to us to realize that we destroy almost everything around us and to stop doing it

Sleepy Hollow
½

I loved this movie: creepy or not, I loved Christopher Walken's act...and Johnny Depp was great as usual

Scent of a Woman

An extraordinary performance for Al Pacino...the movie is just awesome..that kind of movie that you can watch it over and over again without getting bored

Are We Done Yet?

Not as good as the first one..but still a nice family film
