I tried to watch the film LEBANON last night. It is set entirely within the confines of a tank (albeit one with a periscope of some sort). Said periscope is trained on atrocity after atrocity. I switched off when it was trained on a wheelchair. Well, actually that's not true. I stuck with it a few more minutes, convinced that it must be some kind of clever po-mo joke, because the cover states it got five starts from the FT, The Times, and, er, Metro. Also a lot of people stare straight into the perisocpe in an accusatory manner. After watching BURIED, which is sent entirely within the confines of a coffin of sorts, I have decided that all films set entirely within the confines of something or other are likely to be shit.
War is some heavy, heavy shit and I'm definitely not going to start one.
This film is SO RUBBISH!
