Can the American critics give two very talented bad boy actors a positive review? Of course not! This is a very cool film...for it`'s historical content alone. Solid performances from the aforementioned protagonists!
The best Rodin film yet...but that is not saying much when one surveys all of the movies that have been made to date about my favourite sculptor. A much better Camille Claudel here than in previous versions. Very abrupt ending with too much left unresolved.
It's a bit of a Hollywood stretch to say that she "invented" frequency hopping, when the technology was already being used by Philips in a home remote-control device. She certainly was not the first person to patent the idea. That she recognized that it could be applied to torpedoes to defeat the Germans in WW2 certainly was imaginative and visionary. The sad story was that she was turned into a Methamphetamine addict by an unscrupulous "doctor".
A pulp thriller shot in Newfoundland. Stephen Lang is looking a little older than his character in Avatar, but still delivers a forceful performance. Breathtaking scenery. Homage to a family's will to survive and protect each other.
For me it added a new historical perspective to understanding modern India & Pakistan. A real tear-jerker at the end as well.
