How do you take a messed up marriage and make it even worse? You get David Fincher to show you the darkest side of a revenge so smart, yet so painful. How can I explain the storyline without giving too much away? I really can't, so I'm leaving it up to others for that. All you really need to know is that Fincher is a genius who can perfect suspense/mystery filmmaking. I was engulfed for the whole two and a half hours, going back and forth to whether I had figured out the plot, or any twists that might occur. The uneasy feeling that haunts you throughout the movie will linger with you long after you've left the theater.
