With generally very good reviews there are still some who will disagree with me that this is Tarantino's masterpiece. But for me if not masterpiece it's right up there with his best. I am also not a big DiCaprio fan. But his performance here had made me one. Brad Pitt is also on a career high with this film. Both should be Oscar contenders for this movie. And her brief scenes with DiCaprio Julia Butters steals the screen with a performance that could easily earn her one of those child star supporting actress nominations. After waiting over 2 hours for the final violent climatic scene I did not feel cheated. It was pure Tarantino perfection.
Great fun for a Beatles fan. It's a fantasy but one well played. Himesh Patel creates excellent interpretations of The Beatles classics. Part morality tale, part romantic comedy and a part of fantasy all add up to an enjoyable summer movie.
Stan and Ollie is a touch and sweet tribute to the great comic duo. The performances are wonderful . It's almost as if you are watching Stan and Ollie themselves. I was moved by the story. Captivated by the performances. And so glad I had a chance to see this.
The trailer looks like a comedy horror film. But this is way dark and very good. Octavia Spencer gives the villain a heart and a soul. And I loved seeing Juliette Lewis on the screen again. Not at all what I expected and I am glad.
Rocketman was excellent and very emotional. It's one of the better bio pics that I have seen. But it's more than just a bio pic. It's also a great musical in it's own rite.
Taron Egerton is spot on as Elton John and captures the full emotional ride of his Elton's life And I always appreciat Jamie Bell. In this film once more he is excellent as Berni Taupin.
I grew up with this music. So I truly appreciated the film. This is one I would not mind seeing again.
