This vulgar and crude comedy, chronicling the last night of a bunch of school leavers, can polarize audiences. It is either one of the most pointless movies ever made or so "random", it becomes a cult classic. I think it is the latter. On hindsight, have fun spotting some of the today's big stars like Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Milla Jovovich and Renà (C)e Zellweger in an uncredited role; and checking out a couple of has-beens like Jason London and Joey Lauren Adams.
Kok Hoong F falseAn atypical coming-of-age high school drama that deals with some uncomfortable issues of contemporary teenagers who sadly mature too fast and too furious. Unflinchingly honest and be too painfully difficult to watch.
Kok Hoong F falseA bittersweet dramedy about a town's painstaking effort to play along when the town's shiest guy decides to believe a love doll is his girlfriend. While it could be material for a madcap comedy, the critics' darling elevates it to be a story about loneliness, compassion and empathy.
Kok Hoong F falseA satire on the Korean entertainment industry that is obsessed with plastic surgery and yet is hypocritical to admit it. The theme of "beauty is only skin deep" is overly exploited but with a moving performance from Kim Ah-joong and a sensitive script, it can still be very touching to watch.
