Like "The Razor's Edge" this is a movie that showcases what can be done with an amazing story when you combine a director's vision and fantastic actors.
Too funny in such a bad way. If you like distopia, if you like post-apocalyptic movies, if you like weirdness in general, you must seek this out and watch it. (It helps to be a fan of Ellison's fiction.)
Let's just put the Mad Max films in my film can of "guilty pleasures". The production values lack, but it's still a great bit of post-apocalyptic escapist fantasy
Like watching a historical documentary, this is a seminal work in film making, but it suffers from pace and timing. It is none-the-less a compelling tale of sacrific for the greater good.
