Full of long, moody shots; you could fit the dialog in this film on two pages. I was captivated, and I get why it's a classic; but I don't need to sit through it again. I can see where Tarantino gets his ideas - and, more surprisingly, where whoever wrote the score for the new "Sherlock Holmes" movies gets his.
Totally quirky plot kept me wondering where it was heading next, and the quirky writing (and delivery) - particularly between RDJ and the little boy who helps him out - kept me laughing. An extra half-star for the action being way more interesting (and more judiciously used) than in "Man of Steel" and "Star Trek: Into Darkness". All around, the best superhero/sci-fi/action film of 2013.
