A display of stereotyped sick characters. It could be like American Pie, but they forgot to emphasize the humor. Or anything else. I do understand however why Feldman was in it. At his age, this must have been fun. Parents will hope life isn't really like this though.
I was looking forward to seeing an action-packed movie with such a cast and such a setting. Unfortunatley I found it boring, confusing at times (enemy killers are totally uninteresting to keep track of), and beneath the present possibilities.
In the line of other 'realistic' movies, this one easily keeps up with its illustrous counterparts. As a viewer you also feel the pressure, and though it looks clumsily made, it's really good good. Nothing too terrifying, or maybe psychologically.
Ignore the fact that Arnie played in this before, and you'll be able to enjoy this barbaric movie, where slaughter and abuse are the reigning customs. It moves fast and will never leave you wanting, especially if you go in with an open mind.
The concept may be okay, the execution however is flawed. But, only if you pay attention to that. If you're just in it for the story and how it develops, please do ignore the inconsistencies and enjoy this serial killer thriller.
What were these actors thinking when they signed on for a script like this. I understand it from Jackson (this is as far as he should go), but he even was the better part of the 'stars'. Lame story, lame development, unrealistic stuff.
Good actors that even do a good job are no match for the boring feeling that surrounds the story as it develops. Whatever drama this story is supposed to hide, it's nothing compared with reality as you see it in the news every day.
Interesting speed psychology into the life of an averaged troubled teen. I'm guessing all of the people at this age would like to live the main character's life, but in reality they might handle it differently, making more mistakes. Good fun movie.
Amazing camerawork make up for the fact that you can only watch this movie in fast forward. Nothing (and by that I mean not a single thing) happens, people hardly even talk. This 2-hour movie will feel like a day. For extreme visual cult movie lovers.
In the WTF area we see a bunch of (hopefully) unbelievable characters, going from extremists to extremely dumb teenagers. Thank God (no pun intended) the ending is not predictable, and the action is relentless.
Not very original as idea, but well compensated by 2 seasoned comedy actors. Their chemistry makes the whole thing stick, and you need it to get over the announced embarrassing moments. The beginning of the movie is the best part.
Thoroughly disappointed after enjoying the first one. This is not more of the same, this is the same. The actors get even more annoying as they descend into Bangkok this time, making Vegas look like a joke. Well, the joke has passed me by.
More of the same, only without the freshness of the first installments. Damon tries really hard to make it stick, but he should be happy that this is the ultimate movie. All logic is put aside in this braindead action flick.
Hard action in a drama environment, with strong acting and a very dark touch to people's psyche. A bit difficult to focus at times for the viewer, but I think everyone involved is happy with what they brought. Original, that too.
Excellent stuff where Carell puts his better side at work. The movie is a good ride through the underbelly of the so-called civilized, with the occasional originality and perfectly likeable characters. A must see for the romantically involved. Maybe.
Worth watching if you have nothing better to do and believe that a screwball comedy will make your day. The occasional laugh and nudity will not make you regret it, but for sure you will forget it. Relaxed entertainment for a drunk audience of teenagers.
If you had high hopes for this movie, you might be let down. It goes at times too fast, at times too slow. The acting is good but you never feel that these characters are credible scientists. Even the creature doesn't stick.
Entertainment straight from the book. Carefree characters and performances, stereotypes galore, and a mythical setting. If you're not European, that is. Nothing too original but an easy on the eye, not too embarassing, family movie.
