I loved it. I think much of the criticism stems from the fact that Madonna produced the move rather than the movie itself. It is helpful to know something about the Duke and Duchess of Windsor for context. A story well told and well acted.
An excellent movie that uses humour to drive home it's point. Poignant, funny, and sad this is a must see.
If you have the chance to see this movie do. Incredibly affecting. It took me a while to ''get'' the approach to the movie itself (at the beginning), but once you do it is a very intense, gripping experience. An interesting look into the disconnect between what Mrs Kennedy may have ''known'' and what she chose to portray.
I loved Ab Fab and Johanna Lumley is still the bomb when it comes to playing Patsy. Kate Moss riffing on herself is also pretty good too. But the ending is a bit scholcky, Saffy's character needs a re-vamp (I don't know... rehab maybe?) and at the end of the day its about 1/2 an hour too long...
Went and saw this last night. Some very funny moments and some interesting riffs on racisim, belonging and working together for the good of all. The ending lets it down I thought, a bit unneccessary - so its a 3 out of 5 for me.
