I was willing to take the odd journey for the first half, but the last half didn't make much sense.
This will certainly be one of my favorite films of 2014. It deals with a difficult topic in a funny, rational and smart way. Jenny Slate and Jake Lacy make a charming couple. Also is Gaby Hoffman in everything these days??
Beautifully filmed with a few stand out scenes. But I have to say this is one of the dullest films I've ever seen. The Color Purple was robbed of Best Picture.
I appreciate the creativity and uniqueness in the way this documentary was presented with clay figures. So while it is well done and informative, the film is really dry. As a side for some reason the streaming version on Netflix is only the English version. :(
