The Last Temptation of Christ

Probably the bolder suggestion anyone made about Jesus existence comes from a man who surely admired his passion 4 doing what he thought of himself, challenging thus all of us 2 b as great (or as mentally insane as Jeffrey Meier suggests) as he was and start a world - wide cult of our own!Congratulations 2 Scorsese as well as Dafoe & Keitel 4 carrying out, as good as they could, such difficult tasks (directing a fuck u statement 4 the church, while being a true catholic/impersonating Jesus 2 the full of his fragile and wacko extend/impersonating Judas in the most humane & heroic way, as the writer intended). And how about Peter Gabriel's score e?It is the first serious and legitimate try of various fractions of christianity (Catholic-Scorcese, Orthodox-Kazantzakis, Protestant-Shrader) to produce an artistic and believable tale of accepting ones divinity and task. Can u imagine that back in the 80's we were forced out of the cinema where the film was played (xcuse my English!) by fanatics with crosses and Molotov bombs, accusing us for..BLASPHEMY (i 'll surely go 2 Hell 4 this I know brrr!)....?

Maybe this is weird but this is the best Tarantino homage flick to date!!wittier dialogues than ever, superb casting (at last samuel jackson finally delivers a true hauntin performance which reminds us that the uncle toms of this world are the true enemy..),super cool attitude, feel and storytelling that ferociously attacks conservatism, racism and prejudice. The only minus of the film is the minimal gun fightin climax which is stylishly built-up and much anticipated till then an the unjustifiable last quarter which only provides us with another interesting cameo from Parks and Quentin. A movie maybe poor in the making but rich in everything else, with both genuine respect for the craftmanship of directing and audacious idiffirence to the new-gen directing methods craze...

David o' (not selznick but) Russel tends to be the best dramedy creator to date.internal and intense, spontaneously funny and visually intriguing gives the best Rocky movie stallone could imagine in order to reinvent his famous character.O' Russel manages to give us great interpretations of ordinary people by his talented cast and finally delivers the finest boxing film of the new decade!!!Oh, and i forgot to mention that the tracklisting is awesome!!!

funny wild and intriguing, is surely worth all the positive vibes it got prior its release.surely is one of the best films with colin farrel starring in it (with the other best Cassandra's dream).since it is written & directed by the same man i feel that congratulations are in order because it is genuinely crazy, intentionally weird and true to the early tarantino dogma of having interesting dialogues covering for acting unsufficience.Plus Walken & Rockwell f......g RULE!!!!
