Matt's Review of Trouble with the Curve
Trouble with the Curve(2012)
A mixture of just about every baseball movie plot line, romantic comedy cliche, and recycled "It's funny that Clint Eastwood is old" gag we've seen before, "Trouble with the Curve" is predictable and very uneven. It's a lightweight dramedy that has a few heartwarming scenes the movie gets right, but they're just so far and few between that it doesn't make much difference.
The truth is that no one would even care about this film if Hollywood's beloved Clint Eastwood wasn't the star. The fact that this might be his final acting performance gives it a certain gravitas, but it's also a bit sad, seeing as how "Trouble" is such a clunky and forgettable film.
