This movie is neither as campy and corny as the original series was, nor is it as gritty and hard hitting as the promotion for the film might lead you to believe. The team behind this new iteration makes an effort to balance between the two, and while it isn't perfect, it's serviceable nonetheless.
There are elements that were really done well, Billy is easily the most entertaining Ranger and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa was amazing, and then some not so great elements... which I'll leave you to find for yourself. Overall, if you're a fan of Power Rangers, it's definitely worth the watch. If you aren't, maybe check it out on Netflix in the future.
