What's not to love here? There's a genuine chemistry between Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu. A sex positive crime caper that is not only fun to watch, it's nuanced and beautifully acted. Hustler's is a whole lot of fun.
I saw this film twice. I saw it once and hated. Then a friend took me. I was not looking forward to it, but i'm Glad I gave it a second viewing. Without providing spoilers, I'd like to suggest you go in expecting a laidback experience. Gone is the protracted dialog of Tarantino's earlier works. Still, this is probably his most languorous work. I never found it boring. It's gloriously slow and a beauty to behold on the big screen.
Without going into details, I hated the ending the first time. To be honest, there's a pretty good case to be made against the final act, I would not begrudge anyone for hating the ending. On second viewing, the ending made a weird sort of sense and I thought it was sweet.
