David Copperfield (1935)
Loved this adaptation of the Dickens classic. The cast really brought the characters to life. Particularly enjoyed WC Fields. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Boyhood (2014)
Loved this one. Almost like a modern time capsule. Ellar Coltrane is clearly one to watch. Patricia Arquette was excellent as Mason's single mom. The story could have gone all over the place as it was filmed over the course of 12 years but it stays true to the title and focuses on Mason and the ups and downs from his view. Soundtrack is amazing.

American Hustle (2013)
Great performances by an all star cast brings this scandal to life in its full comb over glory. You know I love NJ and we might need a little money pumped into AC right now? Really good. You can see a little Scorsese influence throughout and the music was just perfection.

The Ten Commandments (1956)
Epic and spectacular. Cecil B DeMille's last film. Super long but not boring. Not my cup of tea by I can understand the allure.

12 Years a Slave (2013)
Powerful, emotional, and horrible at the same time. The ongoing torture is difficult to watch because it is awful and because it really happened. Worthy of the Best Picture Oscar in a year with many great films.
