Rostek's Review of Camille Redouble
A charming little comedy with a premise that isn't even remotely original but the actors are superb (with director, co-writer and leading lady Noemie Lvovsky being such a charming and airy presence that I really want to see everything she's done & Yolande Moreau as well as her school friends being all terrific) and in the end it turns out it's not a movie about the premise. It's a movie about dealing with family, loss, love that grows old and dull and voices of beloved ones you want to hear again. I admit it - this one touched me. Critics are vicious creatures and will tear it apart but I enjoyed it and I hope it wins a bunch of Cesars.
