This is a love letter to the city I love, told against the backdrop of the industry I love, in the genre of film that I love; I loved it! It feels like a modern Fred and Ginger movie. It's model but also old-fashioned. I also loved the look of the movie; in many ways it reminds me of the classic French musical "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg." I hope this movie does well at the Oscars!
This is such a beautiful movie, with pretty cool effects, but it is just so sad. This reminds me of The BFG, but a darker, more adult version. Great performances.
This starts out as a very interesting story, but then I just found it silly once it became a courtroom drama. I know this is based on a true story, but I find it hard to believe that anyone would take this case seriously. The performances were all very goodgood.
Interesting, funny, sad, and very entertaining movie with great performances. And how different to see a movie about gay people made in the 80s that wasn't about AIDS. Of course this one takes place in the 70s..
Great music, but dated now so it comes across somewhat racist and sexist. Also it feels like it is filmed more as a stage production rather than as a film adapted from the stage.
