Rick and Morty has a distinct element of surprise, creativity and rationale that allows the creators' work (as deranged and ghastly it may be) to work freely in an environment established with little convention. The show's formula is indistinct, because of this the writer's ideas are refreshingly erratic. And though the comedy is vulgar through it's improvisational tone, the comedy succeeds due to it's spontaneous nature, which in turn creates an easier and more efficient technique for the audience to embrace a great deal of subtleties arranged throughout the script. The show is unlike anything on television and I'll go so far as to say that it is the best comedy produced on it at this moment. I hope that eventually this show will grow amongst a more colossal audience and it's influence will shine in the work of other animators and comedians. For now, I'll continue to watch the 13 episodes we've been given and admire it's creativity. Binge worthy, re-watchable, and highly unconventional. This is truly something special!
