Why would people go to lengths to make a guy move on only to be reunited in an forcibly awkward and unbelievable way with his ex-wife. Would have been much better if the parents hadn't united in the end for a cliched thanksgiving meal and the poor guy could have moved on finally with his life. It would have been a much believable feel-good movie.
What a torture this movie was. A serious waste of an excellent cast. If only the story was nice, all the hard work and large amount of monetary resources wouldn't have been wasted. This movie is a classic example of a situation where many of the fine sci-fi/supernatural movies fail. You can have the best directors, good screenplay writers, finest technical team to handle all animation, fabulous caste delivering amazing performances and dialogues and an eager audience but if the story is banal and un-engaging, everything will fall apart.
