Gabriel's Review of The Godfather, Part III
The Godfather, Part III(1990)
I had heard Sofia Coppola was bad, but I always try to keep an open mind about these things like with the Star Wars prequels or Crystal Skull where it seems like the fan boys are nitpicking because it didn't live up to their standards of excellence. But no, she was awful. Kristen Stewart could circles around her. Still, I appreciate that Francis Ford Coppola was able to squeeze the drama out of her character the way he did when her performance essentially made her dead weight. It features some bold direction, particularly the film's climax which was pretty impressive, and I found it more emotionally involving than the previous entries. While it's far from perfect, I genuinely liked this film.
