Not the best Hitchcock movie I've seen, but still worth watching.
This is one of my favorite comedies. Bette Midler is over the top with her performance and would watch this movie many times over. Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton give wonderful performances as well. Most of the male population will probably want to pass this one by as though it's a comedy, I'd still consider it a chick flick. Awesome comedic relief for any woman going through and having been through a divorce or even just a break up. I laughed numerous times and I don't care what the critics say, I'd recommend this movie for a girls night in.
The story line left a bit to be desired, but the acting wasn't too awful. It's a time filler movie and that's about it.
I usually don't rate sub-titled movies very high because of the fact that they go by so fast I have to watch a movie many times before I understand what's going on. But not with this movie and I loved the movie. I would watch it over and over although it's one of those happy movies that make you shed a tear or two.
As a person that is avidly interested in movies based on actual events, this movie was able to hold my interest and that makes for good marks. Also a fan of Peter Jackson, makes the movie even more interesting. Very good storyline and easy to follow with a few unexpected happenings here and there. Found it somewhat interesting that after the fact one of the girls becomes a famous mystery writer with a few awards under her belt and what seems to be a good following. Anyways, recommend this for anyone who is a true crime buff and/or just enjoys a really good movie. Wouldn't recommend it for the kiddos, but otherwise watch it, have fun, and enjoy it.
I'm not a big fan of Will Ferrell, meaning that it depends on the type of role he plays in a movie/show. I thought he fit the role of Harold Crick very well and did an awesome job alongside Emma Thompson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dustin Hoffman, and Queen Latifah. I think everyone can appreciate the storyline and as someone who is an aspiring writer, I could see the things that transpire happening to myself or any other number of writers. Well worth watching, a good family movie, and very well put together and the casting was perfect for each person in their respective roles.
Better than I thought it would be.It had some really good moments, but it's still not anything I'd rush out to see in a theater. But a great time filler and worth watching.
Really liked this movie. Was different from the type of movie I usually watch but well worth watching. Doug Jones does a wonderful job in his role as Jerry. This is the first non-horror film that I've watched with Doug Jones in it and in the lead role as well. Highly recommend it to anyone who is a Doug Jones fan.
I really enjoyed this movie. Anyone who is a fan on Danny Trejo has to see this movie. The effects were pretty cool and I could follow the story line, which I also found a bit intriguing. I could watch this movie over and over again. It's on Netflix right now, so go, watch it, enjoy it, and don't forget to rate it. :)
