An intense, disturbing book that was well-adapted onto film. Hard to believe it is true but regardless, it made for a very, very engaging story. This is one of those rare films that was cast absolutely perfectly.
A cute, fun 80s flick that still holds up surprisingly well over 20 years later.
I watched it again recently and it didn't age as well as I might have thought but it was still wonderful. Dennis Quaid and Jessica Lange both shine here.
Lush, beautiful, romantic and fun. I love me some Mr. Darcy!
The rare sequel that I felt was better than the original. Linda Hamilton was BAD to the bone!
A great book with a movie adaptation ruined by the casting of Tom Cruise as Lestat. I very rarely endorse remakes but I'd love to see someone else take a stab at bringing these characters "back to life" on film.
A great book and an equally great movie adaptation. Even if you've read the book, the ending of the movie is still a punch in the face.
Not as great years later but still held my interest. Dustin Hoffman was a might bit over-the-top but Donald Sutherland was wonderfully evil!
A great song (by The Replacements) but only a good (not great) movie. Jennifer Love Hewitt is stiff and awkward as per usual but the rest of the cast shines (Lauren Ambrose especially).
Mediocre effort from Babs on all fronts but Jeff Bridges as the adorable nerd did deliver.
No matter how many times I've seen it, I'm still completely sucked in. The casting is perfect and Whoopi is especially excellent in her role as the "head" of their little family. A heartbreaking ending.
A great cast that could have benefited from the exclusion of Kirsten Dunst (though she had the cold bitch part down cold). Still a bit of a disappointment given the tools they had to work with...
A good movie despite the presence of Tom Cruise, who continues to turn me off even in movies that I liked him in long ago.
Perfection. Enough said.
I'm hit & miss w/ Will Farrell but this one made me laugh quite a bit.
Still one of my favorite Clint joints, even though I thought both he and Streep were too old for the roles as written in the book.
Ugh. Couldn't even finish it.
Had its funny moments but overall a turd.
A fantastic book beautifully adapted to film. It's perfect. Nothing else to say here.
Still an enjoyable adventure to this day, no matter how old you are!
