Whats not to like? It doesnt break any new ground but its a solid animated feature.
Could be edited into a short. Painful at times in its pacing.
Bizarrely people call this an Iranian vampire film when it was shot in California. Yes the language is Persian but its a bit of a stretch to call it Iranian when it was produced by Elijah Wood!
Its slow and at times confusing. Good performances are the only thing that saves it.
Good. Not great. Burton seems to spend most of his time in 'look how special this is' mode. It's a bit too precious.
Also, I love Chris O'Dowd but his character is completely unnecessary. The script is decidedly safe.
Amazing documentary about America's cyber warfare and the real reason behind the Iran deal.
Brilliant and terrifying.
Depending on your mood this could be seen as self indulgent pretension or utter genius. I'm going with the latter. It is meticulously constructed, and incredibly creative, from the script to the post production (I love the mixing in of Japan train announcements!)
Also I've never seen a film where in the closing credits they list the people who's scenes were cut! (Good lord how long was it going to be?!)
Not nearly as clever as they think it is.
Cliche 'moving' music and talk in circle speeches don't make magic (pun intended).
Sometimes i see a movie that is so fresh, creative and touching that I'm left speechless and inspired.
This is such a movie.
Amazing especially considering it is almost 100 years old. The visuals are incredible and inventive, by any standard.
It is silent without even any title cards, which can be a challenge. But the version I saw had a haunting soundtrack that completely enhanced the images.
Wow. Brilliantly done single person interview film. An incredible story with an incredible man. Riveting.
Classic love story, bordering on epic. They create a completely immersive world that I would gladly return to.
Not perfect, but, as an entrepreneur I see lots of truth in it.
But emotionally it misses the mark.
Shocking and depressing and should be required viewing, especially in this election year.
Watch it today.
Amazing cgi. I think it was shot on Leo's yacht. ;-)
Complex and depressing.
A shameful chapter of American history, beautifully told.
Utterly senseless and confused it's suffers from a confused plot line and unbelievable chemistry between the actors.
At any moment the characters could have taken other more logical steps. I love time travel films but this lets the side down.
