Well this movie has a few moments of shock value, but the special effects paired up with bad cop dialogue makes this movie not good. Maybe this movie might have worked a few decades ago, but do not waste your time watching it now. The final scene is so ridiculously bad it is laughable (unfortunately they were playing it straight).
I found this movie mesmerizing and gripping. The very beginning of this movie had me hooked in watching all these random women walking around New York. There are only a couple of scenes that made me squeamish, but I think this movie is great and a balanced viewing experience.
This is sort of funny in an off putting way. Lots of stereotypes played up with mixed effect for me. Overall its not worth paying to see l, but if you are stuck on a plane or some other killing time situation its not all bad.
The main action and plot of this movie happens in fits and starts. The beginning of this movie promises a climax of a boxing match with Ali and Chuck, but within the first 30 minutes we have reached the climax. I liked that this movie went beyond the glix and glamour, but I think some shortening could have helped. I loved Elizabeth Moss and Liev Schneider (Jim Gaffigans character was annoying and seemed to be a throw away despite my love of Jim Gaffigan). Overall I liked this movie and would recommend it to most people.
I found this to be thrilling...I enjoyed that the massacre started without any indication of danger. I thought the chase through the woods with the chainsaw running in the background went on a little too long, but the twist at the gas station was pretty great. I think this movie could have been better with some modern special effects/visual effects, but overall I thought it was pretty good. I did not know the story before and thought that our main characters were going to have different story arcs.
This movie had a bad start, but soon after the first minute or so it finds a good narrative. This had much more to do with war and family than expected. I liked the emotional roller coaster and a lovely journey on a childs imagination. The acting was superb (I found all the characters authentic) the only weak point might be the Britishness (closed offends) of Margo Robbies character.
I found this movie a little too slow for my current mood. I sort of lost interest in the middle, but I stuck with it and the the beginning and end of the story are great. Harry Dean Stanton was great. I think another redeeming characteristic is how beautifully this film was shot and the stark landscapes.
As long as you know this movie was made to be purposefully bad (I think) then this is a fun/funny completely ridiculous movie. I had fun watching this movie.
Enjoyed watching Karloffs transformations that seem sort of random (I thought I had figured out his triggers, but now Im not sure). If for nothing else watch Karloff.
This is a movie of its time when atomic/nuclear energy and weapons were a new idea. I like the idea and I almost want someone to remake this movie with better special effects.
I liked this movie and how it made me empathize with a cold blooded killer who is running from the law. I was trying to figure out Kit (Martin sheen) moral decision making process. Sometimes he kills people when it seems unnecessary. The end sequence with the police sort of making him seem like a celebrity was my favourite part (but given the recent years of showing how police actually treat criminals seems unrealistic and makes me nostalgic for earlier times when people where maybe more naive about the government and its actions).
This was a good revenge thriller...the plot was a little stretched beyond what might be considered normal. The organized crime group was not very organized or prepared to deal with anyone who is trying to take it apart (apparently).
I enjoyed this movie. It was exciting and dramatic...I still do not know why they did not to exit through the tunnel (I must have missed the exposition about why leaving out the back wasn't an option). The acting/dialogue involving the cops was not to my liking. The rest of the movie was fun. It was cool to see all the actors in the bar. There were a couple problems, but I found the movie worth watching.
I loved all the tension, but the premise of this overconfident guy picking up a hitchhiker and then taking him out on the boat with them felt crazy to me. I liked the bookends of the couple in the car fighting (but not in an overt way). I also sort of hate the idea of going out on a boat all day...that doesnt sound like fun. I did appreciate the sprinkling of jazz throughout I felt that created a nice tone. I think this movie was better being in black and white...not sure if it would have been as good in colour.
Not very good...I wouldn?t recommend. The kinky sex wasn?t very kinky and didn?t seem to be done with any safety measures in place. Kim Bassingers character was unnecessary. I really didn?t care about these rich elites problems (plus the girlfriends rise to the top of the editorial department). I didn?t care about these people and their problems.
I?m not she why this is rated so high by critics and audiences. I liked it, but didn?t love it. It was more of a historical archeological time piece than a great movie. The second half was much better than the first half. I was surprised by the nudity in the middle, it otherwise I couldn?t exactly emphasize with that old school midwestern mentality. Cybil Shepard, Tommy Button and Jeff Bridges stood out.
Well the special effect were good...not a good movie. It tried to be funny (unsuccessfully) and tries to be a serious suspense movie (unsuccessfully). I think it suffered from bad dialogue and lots of overacting. I sort of hated it.
I had no idea there was going to be so much stripping shown in this movie. It was cool to see a younger Jack Nicholson and Robin Wright, but overall I didnt like this movie. It had a interesting premise with a mourning father wanting to kill her killer (vengeance/justice)...but it only sort of worked for me.
I liked this movie it was surprisingly gory at times. It felt a bit like the Godfather(though not a great comparison since the Godfather is the best). This is a good Japanese mob movie. We get an interesting look at Japanese culture through the lens of the mob. I enjoyed this movie.
A fun adventure with a charming Tom Cruise. I enjoyed this movie and felt like I got to see another side of the Escobar Ochoa Medallion cartel/war on drugs history.
