U.N.C.L.E. might be code for silly and a tad disjointed but its stars do the heavy lifting so it's not without its moments. A live-action cartoon that's quite fun...for a while. All style and no substance make this a (mostly) dull affair.
Chappie's a magnificent mess. That said--Despite its shortcomings, cue Die Antwoord almost running the whole gamut into the ground, the film carries positive vibes, an uplifting message and is thrilling enough to be forgiven.
Our trip ahead is a mystery that gets more interesting as each clue comes to light. The real message within: live to the fullest. While it doesn't hit as hard, a bit of joking around, committed performances and a bittersweet air about it put this town on the map.
There's two thirds here of a fantastic sci-fi horror, non-traditional superhero film. Your mileage may vary. That being said, the rest is decent. Gruesome and dark. Perhaps the bleakest attempt but definitely not the worst. Flame on.
