Action thriller with elements of science fiction, directed by Tony Scott. The film stars Denzel Washington, Bruce Greenwood, Matt Craven, Jim Caviezel, and Paula Patton as the main characters, but also includes actors Val Kilmer and Adam Goldberg. Déjà Vu involves ATF agent Douglas Carlin, who travels back in time in attempts to prevent a domestic terrorist attack that takes place in New Orleans and to save a woman with whom he falls in love, Claire Kuchever. Filming took place throughout post-Katrina New Orleans. With very creative plot this movie is long and falls into a cliche near the end, but is still regular.Worth a watch.
British satirical black comedy film directed by Armando Iannucci. It is based on the BBC Television series The Thick of It satirising Anglo-American politics in the 21st century and the Invasion of Iraq. The film was nominated for the 2010 Academy Award for Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay).
In the film, the President of the United States and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom are looking to launch a war in the Middle East. The plot follows government officials and advisors in their behind-the-scenes efforts either to promote the war or prevent it. It stars Tom Hollander, Mimi Kennedy, James Gandolfini, Chris Addison, Peter Capaldi, Anna Chlumsky, Gina McKee, Steve Coogan and David Rasche.Very fast dialogues but with a lot of funny situations and gags in between, but you can, indeed, loose some details of this movie.Good.
Tragic war drama that is set in the midst of the Bosnian war. The film is a parable and marked the debut of Bosnian writer and director Danis Tanovi?.
Two wounded soldiers, a Bosniak (?iki, portrayed by Branko ?uri?) and a Bosnian Serb (Nino, portrayed by Rene Bitorajac) are caught between their lines in the no man's land, in a struggle for survival. The two soldiers confront each other in a trench, where they wait for dark. They trade insults and even find some common ground. Confounding the situation is another wounded Bosniak soldier (Cera, portrayed by Filip ovagovi?) who wakes from unconsciousness. A land mine had been buried beneath him by the Bosnian Serbs; should he make any move, it would be fatal.Interesting plot. good screemplay, but a little slow, and so, a little boring, despite all the prizes and positive reviews it achieve.Regular.
Science fiction and action film directed by John McTiernan, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Jesse Ventura, and Kevin Peter Hall.
The story follows an elite special forces team, led by 'Dutch' (Arnold Schwarzenegger), on a mission to rescue hostages from guerrilla territory in Central America. Unbeknownst to the group, they are being hunted by a technologically advanced form of extraterrestrial life, the Predator.I had the stunning pleasure to see this movie back in 1987 in a theater, and i have to tell, what a terrifying experience!Re-watch this movie 24 years after still amazes-me!
