the value of a few laughs is equal to what you paid to see the film.

I think it could have worked better as a short or shorter film. Keaton is amazing to watch the point is anything else going on in the story that does not directly connect to him came off as boring and tasking. funny enough his character's message is the strongest but is the only one that does not feel as if it is being shoved down your throat

Move a little to quick and does not really do a very good job of conveying the sense of urgency that Damon's character is in but still a decent dystopian sci fi action movie. Jodie Foster's near plastic portrayal is perfect for what she is supposed to be.

Something just goes horribly wrong with the chemistry of the folks in this movie.Not for lack of trying. Something just doesn't click. It's hard because EVERYBODY really does try and there are some shiny little moments but that thing that you need in a buddy heist film is just not there. I feel bad because you can tell they really are trying but something just gets lost.

First if you are not a fan of Python humor steer clear, But I found this movie interesting in much the same way I found Liquid Television interesting. Also the production company seemed to know that this was going to be a bit much for some to handle for a long period of time so they kept it at a pretty responsible length.

Woh! That was intense to say the least.

Not horrible by any stretch of the imagination. And visually a delight to look at that is were the extra half star comes in. The music in many ways is very distracting and jarring and knocks you right out of the mind set of the film. My feeling was that was an attempt to show how the party world then is not much different then the party world now but they could have done a better job of it. The first half hour of the movie is a bit slow but once DiCaprio makes his entrance he and Maguire do a wonderful job together.

Have to go back and watch it again with fresh eyes in a few and I have a feeling it will actually be better then I thought it was

Very well done reinterpretation of the original. Much like the original I preferred this movie to it predecessor. My only complaint is that Karl Urban seems to have fallen into almost a parody of his character and needs to dial it back a bit.

The story concept is pretty cool. Something just gets lost. Maybe there is too much going on that becomes to convient.
