This is a pretty good Hallmark movie about love lost and found, but it is also just another Hallmark movie about love lost and found. Plus, Ed Asner!
It's big, it's loud, it's fun, it's exciting, it's suspenseful, it's sad, it's funny, it's amazing and it's too damn short! I waited 14 years for under two hours of Jurassic greatness? BOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Minus a half star for making 2/3 of a movie!
Silly, but funny enough to give it its ridiculously short runtime when you're in the mood for some slapstick copmedy [sic]. Extra half star for Sofia's great big ol' books (Sp).
For such an expensive film, the car falling at the beginning was some straight up laughable CGI, but after that, it was OK. I don't get it, but whatever. As always, this is one of our favorite genres, and it was very enjoyable. Plenty of suspense, drama, booms, bangs, a little romance for good measure, some always pleasurable Paul Giamatti and a whole lot of The Rock. The wrestler, not the insurance.
This film is depressing, probably didn't really need to be made and shouldn't really be watched, but the performances are terrific and it remains gripping throughout its glorious 2hour+ runtime.
