Nice origin movie, but could have been much more. Too much focus on sub characters instead of developing the main characters completely. I would have loved more screen time with the villains. Get rid of the unimportant cameo heroes (or just keep them as a cameo) and focus on the interrelationships of good-guys/bad-guys, it's those connections that make a good story.
Pretty good effects and nice acting, but the story was kinda lame. Hopefully the next one will be more story and less fluff.
Animation was much better than story. Acting was ok, but nothing outstanding. Too bad they didn't develop the story more.
Awesome movie, although I don't think any high schoolers would be into the 80's movies as much (can tell when the screen writer grew up), worked for me though since I grew up in the 80s! Emma Stone does a great job, and really all the acting is great -- although Amanda Bynes is getting a little too old for high school parts. The story was great and flowed extremely well, funny too -- great homage to John Hughes films.
High action, but no real horror or any real sense to the story line. Too many things are left unexplained (clones, chest spiders, giant mutant guy, etc.) Skip this one and rewatch the first one (it's the best), or if you want more scary stuff switch over to Silent Hill.
