Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

It's got many things that fans have wanted to see in a TMNT movie, but it's done in such a mediocre way that it's forgettable. Bebop and Rocksteady are done fairly well, but the film absolutely failed in its portrayal of Shredder and Krang. Casey Jones is alright, but a bit too much of a baby faced hero and not enough of a tough vigilante that I expect from that character. Overall, it's better than the previous TMNT film, but that's not really too difficult of a task. It's watchable, but I suspect this franchise to be rebooted again in the near future.

Split (2017)

It seems like M Night Shyamalan is finally getting his groove back. I thought The Visit was a decent film, not bad or great. I can definitely say that I enjoyed Split. It was very well-acted with James McAvoy's performance especially deserving praise. I wish I hadn't heard about the surprise at the end of the movie, although I don't know that I would've wanted to see it as badly without knowing about it. If you don't know what I am talking about, then just watch the movie and don't seek out any spoilers. It's worth a watch, even if you think some of Shyamalan's work is awful.

If you've seen the trailer, you've seen pretty much everything this movie has to offer. The final 15 minutes were so ridiculous that it redeemed it for me a little bit. Overall, this was just not funny to me. Cursing doesn't really offend me, but it got tiresome hearing "fuck" and "shit" in nearly every other sentence. Crude language doesn't always make everything funnier, especially when you become numb to it after it has been overused. If you're stoned, you'll probably love this, but otherwise I'd recommend skipping this movie.
